Give him canned food and make sure it is almost a liquid with no chunks in it. Every once in a while give him 1 teaspoon of veggie oil or cod liver oil. No need to see a Vet at all.
My cat does this but she doesn't eat it. I think it's because of the hair balls. It's normal for cats to cough up hairballs. Eating grass might help or brushing her a lot to reduce the amount of hair she gets.
First things first, get him on a diet. Do not leave out food all day fo him to eat whenever. This just leads to animals making pigs of themselves and can lead to health problems
Next ask yourself has he been getting table scraps? Or have you changed his food recentally? That may be the cause, you should ease him onto to a new type of food, cats have sensitive digestive systems.
Also do not allow him to eat the vomit, it should be obvious that that is NOT healthy.
If it continues call your local ve atd ask his/her advice. They are the experts there may be a simple explination.
Your cat is eating too much. It also all depends on the kind of food your feeding it to. Are you giving it milk also? If so then stop. You may want to change the brand of food your using (Stay away from store brands like Iam's, Purina etc). Go to an actual pet food store and get a bag of proper cat food, preferably dry food.
Do not give your cat table scraps, and try to stay away from the "treats". You can try "kittymalt" also. It's like a mollases you can give your cat occassionally to help with its digestion.
When was the last time your cat was de-wormed? Does it have fleas? You should get him checked out by a vet if the problem persists.
More than likely, your cat is suffering from Hair balls. These will clog up its digestive tract and make it hard for him to ingest his food. There is a new cat food made especially for cats who have this problem. I'm not sure of the name, unfortunatly. If you can't find it at your local market, you could try phoning a local Vet.
Gypsy (Gitana) is telling you true. One more suggestion - Science Diet has a cat food specially formulated for sensitive stomaches. Put my cat on it and it cut her deposits by half at least. Good luck.
My daughters male cat did this all the time. She was told by a vet to put him on organic food. He has been on it for a year and almost never throws up. It might help, try it. Organic food is a little more expensive, but a new carpet is much more expensive. It's worth checking out. Good luck.

Hi there again Kelly.female cats go into heat, male cats spray. Although, female cats can spray too when they are in heat, but since you're speaking about a male cat and if he isn't neutered then it most likely he is spraying.
However, if he IS fixed/neutered then he may have a urinary tract infection/bladder infection (UTI), which then only a vet can diagnose and treat. It's very important to get him to see the doctor to treat the infection. Left untreated long enough it will move up into the kidneys and cause kidney failure which is fatal. Additionally, if not treated quickly this peeing will be more difficult to control after he is treated because it becomes a bad habit.
You will need to clean the sprayed/peed areas with an enzymatic neutralizer such as Nature's Miracle (found at any pet store worldwide). It's important to do this as cats can smell their own urine odours and will pee/spray over it more. Even though you may not be able to smell it a cats sense of smell is very acute and can find these areas.
You really are not very informative with your question. It leaves us to guess what in the heck you are talking about. Cat's only pee no more that twice a day, frequent trips to the litter box is a sign of infection. If a cat went into heat, they usually get an infection afterwards, So it is best to have them fixed to prevent this. She could have had one at the time of surgery, mine did and I was mad they didn't tell me! I found urine in places, that is how I found out! male cats can get it too, also, kidney problems, bladder as well. take it to the vet to find out what is really going on. Their habitat needs to be not just protected but expanded. The zoos and animal parks that have them are actively working to get them to breed. If they can be successfully bred in captivity and their natural habitat can be expanded someday they may be able to become firmly established in the wild again.
If the snow leopard is extinct, then there is nothing you can do to save them since they are already there.

If people would stop being greedy for the beautiful pelts and the wealth they bring.and respect the animal as one of God's creatures, then we would not have to worry.

Sneezing kitten?
A couple of days ago we found a stray kitten outside. I've noticed that it sneezes quite a bit, and has a very slightly watery eye tho otherwise seems quite lively, could this just be the change of environment (outside to inside) or is it more likely something more serious?

I thought she was bitten then took her to the vet and found out that she had a Bot Fly larva embedded in her face. She was too curious the vet said. Maybe stuck her head in rabbit hole or something. The egg went in through her nose (sneezing %26 watery eye). Then it developed into larva. It was huge and is very dangerous. It can cause seizures. Just be on the look out for swelling. This swelling will also have a small opening for the larva to get air.
It doesn't have to be serious - and it can be. Mostly those colds or flus are viral and will resolve themselves. With a kitten it's not a good idea to take that chance.
You kitten deserves a vet check and testing for some feline diseases. If kitty has the flu the vet won't want to start shots just yet and the shots are very necessary so you may have to go back for that. Sometimes the vet will give you medication (antibiotic) to prevent the possibility of a secondary bacterial infection which could cause pneumonia.
The vet will give you advice on how to take care of the kitten while she has this and what you must look for in the event her illness takes a turn for the worse.
So take her off to her "doctor" tomorrow (some vets are open Saturday mornings). Don't wait till next week.

We have 2 cats--both are indoor only (they're 2 1/2 years old %26 littermates). The male cat has started sneezing a lot lately and I have no idea why. He also seems to cough, almost daily, but I'm not sure if he is coughing up hairballs or this is a symptom of something else ( no hair comes up when he does this).
The sneezing has been going on for at least a month or 2. And the coughing has been going on since we adopted him at 6 months old from a rescue organization--although it is a lot more frequent now. Yes, most definately cats can allergies. They can have skin or respiratory allergies. Unfortunately, it is very expensive for shots to maintain the allergies if they are respiratory as it sounds like your cat's allergies are, the price for continuing shots can be phenominal. There is another thing you can try that worked for my mother's allergic cat: Vacuum daily, preferrably with a vaccuum that has a Hepa filter. Get an Air Cleaning machine.yes these too are expensive but you could get lucky and find one at a flea market and the cost is much less than the shots. Switch his/her water to distilled water, it is more pure. Those are about the only suggestions I can give you. I worked as an Animal Technician in a vets office and I know the shots work well but are so darn expensive and if I recall correctly, you have to take them every 3 months? for more. I usually feed my cat whatever is onsale at the supermarket on the highend side, the low end stuff is bad not just for cat's but for people too, it's produces more poop and smells worst. But even in the high end (dry food that is), different brand names produces different level of smells. Which dry end food have you tried that 1) produces the least smell and 2) produced the worst smell?

Hi there.many of the commercially available cat food products sold in supermarkets contain corn, corn meal which ferment as it broken down within the digestive system leading to very stinky poo. However, this also depends on the animal's genetics as well. Like humans, when two people eat the very same thing one person's business may stink to high heaven moreso than another (we can't compare our own poo since we'd obviously be biased.) I have two cats who's genetic makeup are quite different from one another (F1 Bengal --1/2 wild %26 1/2 domestic -- and Abyssinian). They both eat the same identical high premium quality foods yet the Bengal's poo is so strong it would make a good substitute for chloroform, where the Aby's isn't so bad and is very tolerable.
Some of the high protein cat foods (which contains no corn based products or byproducts) found only at specialty pet stores such as Innova EVO, Life's Abundance, Nature's Variety Prairie may help minimize the stinky calling cards, but again it truly depends on the cat's genetic makeup. They are quite expensive compared to the supermarket brands, but if your intended goal is to lower the overall gas chamber effect you may need to experiment which works best.

I got a kitten 5 months ago and have never noticed a smell and have even been told by guests that they can't tell I have a cat. He eats Purina Kitten Chow and the litter box has a removable lid to keep the smell in. I use Good Mews kitty litter, it is awesome! It is not powdery, looks like little pellets, and you can flush it in small doses, so if you wanted you could clean it and flush the waste daily. We just clean it all out about once every 1 1/2 weeks. Both are available at my local grocery store.

Hey the day you or your cat poops with a smell of flowers call me and let us all know here at yahoo about that experience. Last time I checked I ate at a very fancy restaurant and my poop smelled as bad or worst than when I ate a doublecheese burger from the dollar menu at Mcdonalds.
If I were you, I'd probably take my cat to the vet. I feed my cat Science Diet and he stinks up the bathroom.My vet gave him a shot and it took care of the smell and everything.
Since I started feeding my cat canned food, his stool is really compact, less then back on dry food, and smells a lot less - canned food contents are better used up by the cat's digestive system, so the smell comes primarily from the scent glands in the anus, which is not so bad as some of the smells that come about when the poop is runnier.
Good point about no low-end, there is some really nasty stuff there.

Hi there.many of the commercially available cat food products sold in supermarkets contain corn, corn meal which ferment as it broken down within the digestive system leading to very stinky poo. However, this also depends on the animal's genetics as well. Like humans, when two people eat the very same thing one person's business may stink to high heaven moreso than another (we can't compare our own poo since we'd obviously be biased.) I have two cats who's genetic makeup are quite different from one another (F1 Bengal --1/2 wild %26 1/2 domestic -- and Abyssinian). They both eat the same identical high premium quality foods yet the Bengal's poo is so strong it would make a good substitute for chloroform, where the Aby's isn't so bad and is very tolerable.
Some of the high protein cat foods (which contains no corn based products or byproducts) found only at specialty pet stores such as Innova EVO, Life's Abundance, Nature's Variety Prairie may help minimize the stinky calling cards, but again it truly depends on the cat's genetic makeup. They are quite expensive compared to the supermarket brands, but if your intended goal is to lower the overall gas chamber effect you may need to experiment which works best.
I think you should stop eating your cat's food and then stop smelling its poo all together
I got a kitten 5 months ago and have never noticed a smell and have even been told by guests that they can't tell I have a cat. He eats Purina Kitten Chow and the litter box has a removable lid to keep the smell in. I use Good Mews kitty litter, it is awesome!
