This is my first kitten, she is bleeding from her vagina. Why?

She is approximatly 3-6 months old.
Answers:
cats go into heat every six months so unless you want babies around then i would keep her away from all male cats but if she is bleeding uncontrollably then i would take her to the vet
i have 2 cats who have parented a total of 10 babies . five each time she was in heat i kept 3 of the babies bringing my total to 5
also for every time the male cat hits it so to speak she has a baby so yes my cat got hit ten times 5 every six months
anyway i wouldn't worry to much and i wouldn't let her sleep with you or on furniture til it passes so the best thing to do is put her in the spare bathroom if you have one and make sure to put a blanket down for her to be warm
and to all of you who said gross .. I'm sure most of you are females and its not any more gross than you telling your best friends that its that time of the month for you
its a fact of life and all animals go through just as we do
so the best thing for you to have done is just not answer the question because it is quite obvious you had no legit answer for it other than you childish ones
to the asker good luck and baby her like you would want to be babied its no more fun for her than it is for us.
She may be in heat. Get her to the vet now and get her spayed.
She is inviting you to sharpen your pencil, silly!
I'd put that in the category of disgusting.

First Menstrual Cycle?
do you know about lost virginity?
gross
Hi,

it sounds like she is in season, cats can get pregnant very early which is why you should have had her spayed by now. You need to keep her away from any Tom's that might get her pregnant as she is too young really to have kittens herself.
she's probably in heat. Most female cats and dogs have their first season at around 6 months
possibly in heat. more around 5-6 months old I'd think, take her to the Vet and let them look. Get her spayed, vacc's and heartworm/flea prevention.
Your kitty is becoming a cat =) She has had her first menses. Do not let her outside! Otherwise you will find yourself with a lot more kitties!
she could be in season or there is some thing wrong on the inside of her where you can't see. i would take her to the vet and ask them they will be able to tell you more and what to expect when it comes time for her to fixed or to mate if you want her to be a mother.
she might be menstrating, make sure it is from the vagina and not anywhere else, you should have her taken to the vet, if you do not want her to breed, otherwise she will bleed every month
It sounds like she may older and be having her period! I once saw a dog having her period and it totally freaked me out!

I would however recommend taking her to the vet, my cat once did that and it was like a bit of undisolved jelly, it turned out she had cancer - not meaning to scare you of course. But it's always best to have your pet checked out.

I wish you both a happy, loving and caring life together.
Please dont announce it to everyone ! You will go to Jail for things like that !
this may be her first season in heat be carful and dont let her out the house use a little tray, if u catch her and another cat doing the deed then take her to the vet coz u can get injections to stop them having a littler at such a young age coz that could cause problems and dont listen to the numpty that said she will bleed every month cats and dogs bleed every 6 to 7 months
Has the dog been happier than usual?
You'll kitten is in heat. I heard that when cats are in heat they bleed like in your case plus female and both males spray. So get her spayed immediately. Not spaying her is bad and she can get cancer and other diseases. I suggest you do that now before it is to late and she is pregnant. She is almost like she is having a period.
This is my vet they should be able to help you http://greatlakesvets.com/
shes having a period ..she will get pregnant unless you keep her indoors.
That means she likes you.
thats not blood, that's ketchup; you should try it sometime!
it sounds like she is in season keep her away from any male cats and get to the vet and get her nutered unless you want to breed her
It's probably her first season.
Take her to the vet, hope she is ok.
She is in heat and that is why, get her fixed soon this will keep happening, keep her inside until you can get her in.
take her to the vets
take her to the vet, she may have an infection
i think cats can av periods 2!
Shes in heat. its when cats have their period. its the same with dogs if theyre not spayed. get her fixed or take the risk of her becoming pregnant. my cats went through the same stage when they were that age.
good possibility if she is in heat then she may be suffering from pyometra.this is a very serious condition and could be fatal need to get her to a vet asap
