There's a spot on the inside of my cat's ear that wasn't there before. Problem?

It looks like a mole on the inside of my cat's left ear near the very tip. I don't think she had it before, and then when we came back from vacation we noticed she had it. We were pretty sure she hadn't had a spot there before, but we couldn't really remember so we just let it be. Now I think it looks a bit larger than it used to. Is this something to be worried about? It's been about half a year maybe since we first saw the spot.
Answers:
If it seems to be growing at all I would have a vet look at it. I have a 22 yr old cat who had a large growth on the tip of her ear which she would scratch and it would supperate so the tip of her ear was removed surgically. It came back about six months later and this time does not seem to bother her at all. The vet does not think it is cancer and we will not do surgery again. She lived 15 years of her life completely outdoors so it could be from sun-damage. I don't know if this could happen with an indoor cat and I certainly would have it evaluated by your vet.

It's possible it could be removed in minutes with liquid nitrogen (I go regularly to the dermatologist to have my non-cancerous "spots" removed).
umm take it to a vet!
Take your cat to a vet..it may be a tumor or something..I have four cats and that is what I would do instead of asking here at yahoo.
it might be ok but since its gittin bigger u might wanna git dat checked out
Could it be a "tick" that is feeding off your cat's blood? That would make it larger.
Is she an outside cat? Many cats, especially with white ear tips, can get cancer of the ear with too much sun. Please get her to a vet ASAP to get it checked out.

theres a cat its alays peeing in my garden, no matter what i do it always come back. How cani chase it away?

its my niegbour cat
Answers:
try a motion sensor dog, it barks when there is movement. You can also spread cayenne pepper inthe garden, cats don't like it. Tell your neighbour to put a leash on Kitty.
Try pepper around your plants or buy a water pistol it'll soon get the message
a high pressure water gun. you have to be consistent
Ive read before moth balls
put this guy in your garden

he'll scare away just about anything http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a55czcyl7.
Dried Blood.
sounds gross but if you have a dog, let the dog pee where the cats pee and they won't come back
build a fence around you garden so that the cat wont be able to intrude..
Even if you put up a fence, the cat can jump right over it. I used to have pet doves outside and I always see cats in my backyard. No matter what I do, they always come back!! I thought moving to a different house would be a perfect solution. so I moved and kept my pets there. A few months later, I found my pet doves on the ground. The cat didn't eat my doves, it just killed them and left them on the ground. Although I don't have doves anymore, I see the cat come every so often. Cats wondeer around everywhere.. I don't think you can chase it away no matter what.. unless the cat dies or something. I hate cats!!

Oh yeah, those doves I had weren't just ANY pet.. they really trust me and even let me make nests for them.. and they do lay eggs in there. I've had them since I was a baby
I have found that spraying with the hose to be the best solution to marauding cats. One really good shot and the cat will split ever after when you just go for the hose.

I understand that you can have sensors on a sprinkler system that are movement sensitive. That would work too.
Go to your local gardening center and see if they have cat grass.Find where the little water fountian is letting it rip and plant the grass there. If the place where the cat is going is a patch of dirt.mulch or rocks you definetly want to plant there! The cat most likely thinks that place is like a litter box.

There's a bright red, raw-looking area with the fur cleared away on my cat's cheek. Should I be worried?

By the way, I treated him for fleas, but not until this morning when I first noticed one.
Answers:
ringworm?,,,, its contagious take to vet
Maybe put some Neosporin on it. Watch it for the next day or so, and if it worsens take the cat to a vet.

I don't know what you used for treating the fleas, but if it is something for a pet store and not a brand that your vet prescribes, you might want to watch your cat closely for issues.
Maybe ear mites, you can not always see them. Cats scratch their ears and get their cheeks. Maybe fleas.. Go to vet. Scratches can become abscess
Probably.yes. Go to a vet, they really help.
It could be allergies. Time to see the vet.
You can get calendula lotion (marigold) from a health food store. It has wonderful healing and soothing qualities for a superficial scratch or wound. Any deep bite could abcess and that should be treated by a vet.

You need to come to some conclusion as to how your cat got the "red, raw-looking" area.
Does he go outside? maybe had a cat fight? If this is the case, he will look after it himself, just keep an eye on him.
The Vet is a great idea
Use a small amount of neosporin, if not better in 2-3 days take your pet to the vet. As for flea products make sure you do not use Hartz, it can cause neurological problems/seizure disorder in your pets. Always use vet approved flea/tick products
Yes, you should take your pet to the vet if ti does not go away in 2 days. It could get worse and get infected. To be on the safe side, you could put a little Neuosporin on it. And if she scratches her head, she will miss the spot she's trying to reach and hit the red spot, and it will probably hurt. Poor kitty! I'm sorry!

animaljamgirl
probably. you should chk for more .otherwise try any antibiotic powder.
It sounds like it may be fungal. Take him to the vet to find out exactly what it is and treat it.
Clean with peroxide every day and then your cat to the vet. Do you have another cat? If so, watch them interact. I had two and one of them liked to pluck fur out of the other one.

there is this cat that keeps attacking my cat its owned but it just about killed mine should i?

kill it the next time i see it attacking my cats
Answers:
tell the owners that they must be more responsbile for there cat and what it has done they need to jknow that there cat is doing that and if it dosent stop take it to the shelter
That's why you should keep your cats inside. Contrary to popular belief, cats are domesticated animals, just because they are able to find their way home does not mean they should be let outside to wander like wild animals.
i would confront the owners and then maybe they will do something about it
You may be able to get assistance from your local animal control. They may talk to the owner for you. If you kill the cat, you will get arrested.
Keep your cat inside. Then it will be nice and safe from the crazy kitty that attacks it.
Try tear gas if the thing is going too far.

But if you have time and live in a relaxed community, then:

1-Talk to the owner.. and if too rude, send him a vet bill of the injuries treatment in your cat

2- Call animal control or police. You are entitled to have your animals protected from violent ones. If you are able to videotape or webcam what that crazy cat does to your kitties and there is not sign of provocation from your side, this should be enough fro aothorities to go on a complaint basis.

Almost all police dept have a icious and Dangerous Animal Unit, and you can get a form for that very easily.

Please read this link form the San Francisco Police>:

http://www.sfgov.org/site/police_index.a.

There is another page, this one from La Animal Services that will give you clues on how to cope with the mean cat:
An animal may be considered dangerous if it has attacked a person or another animal.

3. Check if attack occurs in your property.. i f this is true, you can make the owner restrain the cat for good.

NOte: An animal may be considered dangerous if it has attacked a person or another animal.
why do you people get so bent out of shape when something bad happens to your cats when you're the one who lets them outside in the first place?! Don't you have it figured out by now that the safest place for cats is indoors?
there just having a spat if your cat was really scared it would stay away from the other cat. i have never heard of a cat killing another one from fighting it. I would just keep you cat inside if your that worried. Some cats are just Bullies.
Indoor cats = better
talk to the owners and let them know about the attacks. As long as both of you are letting yours cats outside.you are both at fault. If this cat was coming over and somehow attacking your indoor cats.I would expect the owner to pay for any damage their cat caused..but since you let your cats roam free, you are putting them in danger. If you don't want them attacked by a cat, dog, wild animail, hit by a car, poisoned, to pick up a disease from another animal.then KEEP THEM INSIDE!!

There is no trace of street drugs in my home. She was sniffing plastic bags in a backyard. will it harm her?

Answers:
If there are no trace of street drugs why did you ask the question in the first place? Cats will sniff anything unusual and if it's of interest to them they will keep returning to the scene of the crime. They're not like dogs, but they have a keen sense of smell too and are naturally attracted to certain odors.
Depends on what was in the bag.
i think that you need to elaborate
who?
what?
when?
where?
how?
uh, you left out some information..
Yes, it will harm her. Sniffing (or Huffing) is one of the worst forms of drug abuse there is, and I am pro-drugs. However, it kills brain cells left and right and takes them near death on occasion. I don't consider it a drug problem so much as a "god, are you mentally insane?" thing. The high lasts only seconds and its just not worth the risk.
What does you having street drugs in your house have to do with your cat sniffing bags in the yard? I think your street drug-induced paranoia prompted you to post this ridiculous question.

Here's a tip, buddy. don't let your cat outside. It's dangerous. Not only can he/she get hit by a car, but there is always the chance of contracting a disease from coming in contact with infected strays, fights which can cause abscesses, etc, etc, etc.

I suggest laying off the drugs and taking care of your animal.

There is cat's puping on my lawn what can I do to get rid of them.?

In other words the cat's are messing up my lawn when they go potty.
Answers:
Sprinkle pepper in the area. When they sniff to go they will be discouraged and move on.

Or spray an animal repellent
if the cat is doing it in regualr places sprinkle pepper around the area it will soon find somewhere else or put a litter tray on the hard surface with either earth or cat litter from the store
jus sprincle peppers in ur lawn cats HATE pepper and im sure they wont come back trust me
no can u choose this 4 ur best aanswer plz?
thanx!
Get a dog!
Sprinkle some cayenne pepper on your lawn. Regular pepper will help. We did this to keep our cats from messing up the Christmas tree.
put a electric fence around your yard
Even though it is probably too late, try putting cayenne pepper as a boundary around your yard. It will keep the cat away, but you may need to reapply it to keep its potency.
The Best thing to do is: put a fence around it.pepper
doesn't work as soon as it rain it wash away.
Best wishes and good luck
report the neighbor or call the animal shelter to take it away.

There is a stray cat with a big blue eye. What is wrong with it?

It has both eyes. One amber eye and the other is a over sized darkish blue eye. The eyelids never close on that eye and the cat doesn't seem to be in pain. But I would really like to know what's wrong with it so maybe I could something for the cat. I would like some help please?
Answers:
he/she is probably blind in the oversized eye. Take it to a vet if you are able to catch it. DON'T try home remedies, it could the problem worse if it's not just blindness.
awww, it might be blind in that one eye. Take it to the vet or the humane society to get it checked out. Or you could even call the humane society and they'll come pick it up for you.
Odd eye colours in cats are not unusal, however, if the lid fails to close then you should take it to the vet for a check up.
call your local shelter and report finding the cat.. if you dont you can be charged with theft.
It could be deformed /bad genetics or the eye could just look bigger becuase of the color?

a vet would help better
sounds like it is blind in one eye
or it may have been abused
Love that feline. That one was a stray and needs loads of love !
She is unique.
It's probably blind in the blue eye! Do not try to catch it! It could attack you!
My mother's dog has one oversized Dark Blue Eye. It's about twice the size of the other eye, actually. It was Glaucoma, and she's completely blind in that eye. It sounds like the same thing in this stray cat.
The eye is probably injured or diseased. If it is oversized, then it is swolen, which would cause constant pain(like a severe sinus headache all the time)It could be infected or the cat could have glaucoma. The best thing to do for the cat would be to take it to the vet,of course and find out exactly what's wrong. The eye may need to be removed to relieve the cat's pain,or it may just need antibiotics.
Odd eyes are known to happen in cats - and it isn't unheard of for a cat to have blue eyes like you're describing. There isn't anything wrong with in - it's just a recessive gene you get once in a while, and the only downfall is that they are a little more likely to grow blind when they grow old.

However, if the eyelids on the blue eye never close while the amber eye's does, you might want to check it out or take her to a vet. Try bringing your hand up from that side of the face (if she lets you) and see if she has a different reaction than if it were by the other side. It may be that the cat is half blind (though usually the eyes lighten in that sort of case, there are exceptions)

There is a full moon tonight .Does you cat act weird?

I have 2 cats, and last night, my female was jumpy as heck, and my male cat was playing in the entryway. What he was doing was the weirdest thing I have ever seen him do,and the funniest. My entryway connects to the kitchen, and he would stand in the pantry, and straight run to the entryway, land on the rug, and go rug surfing. The rug slides with him. He did this for over an hour!

What does your cat do during full moon nights.
I know the full moon is tonight, but my cats just started early.
Answers:
My cats tend to be more active. I've always wondered if they are sensing something from the way that I act since I know it's a full moon, or if they are able to sense something "more." They were going half-way up my stairs and batting at people walking by. I've also had to scold my male several times for "getting into things." He's been noisy and "talkative." He yells back at me for me telling him no. He's been hiding and jumping out at the female cats. He does this thing where he'll tilt his head sideways and play-bite at them. The youngest one gets upset and chases him through the house -- up the stairs in a stampede that sounds more like horses than cats! LOL

I love to watch the cats when they're in this mood. They're so funny!
My whole family acts weird when there is a full moon!
My cat acts weird all the time. im not sure if the moon has anything to do with it.
Maybe they are were-cats. Yikes !
they say i act weird.

not only during full moons
It is a fact that when there is a full moon the whole world goes nuts. The crime rate goes up. It must have to be the gravitational pull of the moon. Just like the tides coming in and going out. Weird isn't it.
All the living beings born under the sign of Cancer act weirdly when its full moon. Some believe it dome dont. But with my personal experience I do.
my tutors cat knows how to switch the tv on and off and change the channels!
My cats usually act weird all the time. LOL. I don't think they need a full moon or anything. I used to have a cat that would rug surf. I thought that looks like so much fun. Too bad I couldn't join him.
Depends on the potion I am brewing . Try a new broom and avoid eyes of newts
My grandmother had an expression for what your cat was doing she called it "having the wind up his butt" or "He feeling the wind of change coming" what she meant was that the cat was feeling the light changes in the air. As you might have noticed often the night are chillier on full moons and the temperature often changes rapidly. Cats have a tendency of noticing the changes and acting up. Notice that while you might not see the storm coming your cat might be acting out the storm and as the storm actually arrives 2 to 4 hours later kitty is sound asleep! Pretty much pooped out from his/her earlier antics. Same as hearing people say their cats reacted before the earthquake. They feel things we don't always feel. Look at the weather forecast in your area and the barometer pressure changes doesn't need to be a storm brewing to have the wind up his butt! Enjoy your own little weather forecaster!
No, but my werewolf does!
i thought it were wolves that went werid.
Is there really a full moon tonight? I don't have a calendar. My cats are fine at the full moon. I am the one that something always happens to and I am supposed to go out tonight and I just might change my mind. Thanks for the info
Well we have 10 and they always "act weird", though we don't have a rug they can surf on. LOL.

Don't notice them any "goofier" than normal on the night of the full moon.

:-)
The full moon affects every living creature, whether they realize it or not. It causes strange behavior, sometimes bordering on unreasonable behavior in some animals, and in some people. Most people think that's a fairy tale, but I worked in a nursing home for years. I saw the evidence. :)

My cats paw at the window when there's a full moon, and they try to knock off all my refrigerator magnets. :)
Our cats are weird all the time. full moon or otherwise!
yep, they clatter in and out the cat flap and get stupidly hyper. not just animals though. I work in the town center and tonight it was like away day at the zoo! loads off freaky people behaving worse than usual!

we all go a little crazy sometimes!
My kitten acts weierd everynight. He sees something I dont see . Or if he's werid . But I love him and he's cute.He hisses out of nowhere. He sits by my widow and my door and there's nothing there.

There is a cat taking a dump in my front yard.,What can i do so that it won't keep craping on my lawn?

It smeel sooooo baaad! HELP
Answers:
Hi there.Common odours that are effective deterrents for cats are:

Citronella works best for cats as well as citrus scents (primarily towards cats), cayenne pepper, coffee grounds, pipe tobacco, lavender oil, lemon grass oil, citronella oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, and mustard oil.

"Havahart's Cat Repellent" uses capsaicin pepper and oil of mustard as its active ingredients. It repels by both taste and odor, has a lemon scent.

Every animal responds differently to each of these. Some will not be phased by them and others will be quite revolting.

For training purposes they are applied on items that are to encourage avoidance behaviours and not for use with a squirt bottle as they could harm the eyes or respiratory system. Test each substance and observe to see which works as a deterrent so that accidental injestion does not occur as some could then be fatal.
get a dog and chain him up in your front yard.
Buy something called "Critter Away" and spray it on your lawn.
shoot it
Shoot the cat with a be be gun.
HAHAHAHAHA! Get the cat, rub its face in the crap, and throw it out of your yard. Make sure you're yelling at it the whole time.
spray it with the hose before it does it, so it is afraid to poop there.
Get powder from pet store that is purposely made to keep dogs/cats away from your yard.
SSS,,shoot,shovel,and shut-up!! :-)=
Sprinkle some cayenne pepper on what the critter thinks is it's litter box.that should stop it, or call city hall and get a cat trap and catch it and have them take it away.
call for animal protection
ask them to catch that cat away.
MY NEIGHBORS CAT WAS DOING THIS. THEY KEEP HIM OUTSIDE ALL THE TIME. I BOUGHT A BIG BAG OF CAT LITTER AND A LITTER BOX, AND WHILE THEY WERE AT WORK I PUT IT IN HIS CARPORT AND FIXED IT UP FOR THEM. THEY TOOK THE HINT AND THEY ARE STILL USING IT 2 YEARS LATTER. (SO IS THE CAT) NOTHING WAS EVER SAID. THE CAT STILL WALKS THROUGH MY YARD BUT DOESN'T DUMP IN IT ANYMORE. (IT WAS WORTH THE $20.) GOOD LUCK. BILL %26 MARI
Move.
Mix chili powder with garlic powder and drop it all over the place where the cat has been pooping. They hate the smell.

There are ten copycats. One gets out of the car, how many cats are left?

Answers:
None.they all left.they were copycats!
none cus they all copied the 1st cat
Zero..They are copy cats
none they all left
None at all!
How did anybody get ten cats in a car? With out being scratched up and bleeding to death?
Nine. All the rest happen to be non-conformists and are rebelling against the copycat stereotype.
None, because the other nine followed the first.
Zero
This question doesn't provide enough information, as it does not specify which copycats are in the car and which aren't. It is possible for the copycats to be in different states at any given moment, so there is no guarantee that they are all in the same place or doing the same thing.

If all copycats are in "the car," then there would be 9 left in the car as the question only stated that one left. The others are likely to follow since they are copycats, but, according to the question, only one has left so far.

Also, the question refers to te copycats as "cats" in the second clause. This could be a trick since copycats are not real cats, which means that there are no cats--only copycats.
none DUH.
none, they were all copy cats!
10
ZERO. they followed each other.
zero cats

none they are copy cats

There are cats that I don't own that come to my house?

There are 2 cats that dont belong to my family and they come to our house every night. Ones a black cat the others an orange cat. This is nol lie I sware cross my heart hope to die.
Answers:
stop smoking crack before you procreate.
There are different cats hanging around and also get off the crack!
Either someone is playing a trick on you.. or your cats have friends..

I have two grey cats.. well I thought I had 1 but it turns out theirs two. that just look the same..
Round the cats up and take them to the vet.
awe I think that those cats wanted love from you , you know cats choose there family , yeah they do ,, my baby cat was brought to us he sniffed us all and knew that we were a good family he decided to stay well 2-years later he takes over our house ..
i guess your pet cat is in heat.
They are the manifestations of evil spirits come to haunt you. You must get a voodoo priest to exorcise them and then you will have peace.
the "broken leg" must have been some injury short of a broken bone for the cat to be able to walk on it so fast. At any rate, you knwo cats are very STOIC animals who will give a convincing performance that NOTHING is wrong with them so that they do not appear weak and vulnerable to bigger animals. They can be in immense pain and not show it..

Please call your local ASPCA or animal rescue center ao those two poor kitties can have much needed medical attention. They would know how to set humane traps to catch them and brig them to the shelter.. I earnestly hope it will be a "no kill" shelter.

Man u got some good weed
freaky well if u want keep umm lol or put um signs saying u have found cats.odds r they belong to the same ppl or r alley cats and u 1 day confuses the orange cat with a nother orange cat
maybe you mixed up which had the bad leg
if u feed them then they're most likely to stay (trust me, i fed one cat and soon i had like ten) if you dont want them then just take them to the aspca and they'll take care of them, other than that they're gona keep coming back, they will probably even bring more.
either someone is fuc*ing around with you or you're fuc*ing around with us!

The worst news I have ever gotten?

My cat was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia yesterday.I am so shocked to have found this out.He is my favorite cat, and I love him soo much. Hes my baby, and I dont want to loose him yet. And that disease it not treatable.I could loose him any day. Im trying to spend as much time with him as possible.
Answers:
I'm so sorry your kitty has this disease! I know this must be hard on you and your cat, but hang in there and give him as much love and comfort as you can.

Just a warning, but if your cat has been around any other cats, you should have them tested, or tell their owners. Feline Leukemia is a contagious disease that is contracted by direct contact, like with water/food bowls, bedding, etc. In the future, you can have your cat tested and vaccinated against this disease. I'm not trying to sound harsh or mean, I'm just trying to make you aware of this.

I hope you cat has a good life in his last few days and good luck to you in coping with this problem!
I am sorry. That is the worst news a kitty parent can ever get. I remember when my kitten got sick, thank god she made it through, (she ate lilies) but we are inseparable now. love him up good. give him an extra hug for me. My thoughts are with you
this is a question?
I'm so sorry.(((hugs)))
Aww I am so sorry! I love my cat also, it's like my baby. Just give him all the love! And make life easy for him! And again I am so sorry!
Has he ever had a shot to prevent that disease?? I read before that if they get vaccinated for it the blood work will sometimes show like they have it..

Give him lots of love and extra TLC.

I was told in Dec. 05 that my kitty had cancer and did I want to put him down? I hadn't even a clue he was that sick. He only slowed on his eating and I was wondering about that. I took him home and he lived another 5 1/2 weeks and died peacefully.
So I know all too well what you are going through..

Spend extra time with him and tell him you love him . If you make sure you are able to give him your best in his last days you will be able to think back and have your wonderful memories of him and not have any regrets about doing all you can for him.
I'm very sorry to hear that - our first kitty had that and he was such a wonderful member of the family. He did live to be 10 yrs. old before he got chronically ill. I hope yours can make it a while longer! It's really hard to lose a part of the family.
I am so sorry to hear about your cat. Feline Leukemia is a horrible diagnosis. My family and I rescued a cat from a house that had caught fire years ago, and she had some respiratory problems, which we originally thought was caused during the fire; but she had F L as well. We made sure that we spent as much time as we could with her and let her have lots of her favorite treats and lots of naptime when she needed it. She was with us for about eight months after she was diagnosed, and she was completely spoiled and happy. You may want to have any other cats in your household checked as FL is quite contagious. Please give your kitty a cuddle from me and my family and our four cats and one dog. I am sure that he knows your heart and knows that he has been well-loved. God bless you both and enjoy every day together.
I've been through that before. Our cat (long time ago) was diagnosed with the same thing. Several weeks later, we went camping and when we came back, he barely had enough energy to meow for help. You just have to make him comfortable with a soft bed and give him treats (if you want) and pay attention to him when you can. Maybe even play with him.
Give him as much love as you can, but be careful, the FL is caused by a virus.
how sad for you take lots of photos of him before he goes
Oh, I'm so sad for you.. I know how hard it is to lose a loved pet. He knows you love him.

The vet says my cat has got an infection from another cat that I got from the shelter.?

The shelter cat apparently has blood parasites and is in its last stages. I was shocked to discover that my regular cat has now got the infection. She isn't showing symptoms yet but a test yesterday revealed that she has some sort of infection. I had separated the two cats about 3 weeks ago. The vet has prescribed some tablets to help fight the infection, but it breaks my heart knowing I can do little else but hope and pray. Is there anything else I can do? SHould I get a second opinion? My regular cat has gotten all her immunisations. The vet only conducted a blood count test before coming to a conclusion. Please help!
Answers:
I wouldnt rush to another vet just yet. Your vet I am sure has been around long enough to know that if one cat died from an infection, and theres anothr cat in the home. The odds are pretty good of it being the same thing. I would ask more question to the vet. This way if it doesnt add up to you then seek advice elsewhere. Until then I would just make sure you are giving the kitty it's meds. Good luck I hope everything works out.
go to another vet
you can get a shot for that stuff. ask the vet, he or she can help with that.
you just have to becareful because cats like to go outside and fool around alot. sometimes stuff like this happens.

make sure you give the cats plenty of clean water and food.
have a clean environment for them to live in.

you are doing good.
unfortunately, a lot of the animals that come through the shelters have diseases and parasites and all kinds of things that they have been exposed to
sue the shelter
Since you are hoping and praying, and medicating your cat, I feel it is the best you can do, and unless God gives you something else to do, (because when we pray and really trust God), He will give an answer to our prayers. So just wait for Him, or the answer He will give through someone else. I sincerely pray with you that you little "sweet heart" kitty will be alright. I hurt for sick pets, and other sick animals too. God cares about them also, more than some would believe. Best wishes.
Hi Taurus, It sounds like you are a very nice person. You safed a cat from the animal shelter, and the cat gave your cat parasites. If your not happy with what your vet is doing, yes see another vet.He might beable to give your pets a shoot that would work alot faster.Your first cat should be alright after the treatments.YOU have gotten all the shoots she needs.I sure wouldn't give up on your shelter cat.Just let your pets know you love both of them, and will nurse them through this terrible thing.I think in the end, things will work out to the good for all of you.

Clowmy
Shelter cats (and dogs) should be checked and free from any infection or illness with a health guarantee.
Well they are here in Australia. Before being re-homed all animals are vet checked, wormed, micro-chipped, de-sexed the whole lot. With a health guarantee of two weeks (minimum).

This question highlights the need for humane and proper treatment and the differing legislation throughout USA.
you should also let the shelter know about your cat. they may have a sick policy to cover certain vet bills for you.

i use to work at a shelter and all the animals were checked for parasites, dewormed, fixed, combo tested(felv/fiv), and microchipped. the shelter had a sick policy in case the cat got a kitty cold.

The mother cat of my kittten always attacks her two kittens?

It's not hard enough to hurt them in any harmfulw ay but she growls and gets mad and sometimes scratches them..why does she do this jt doesnt make since for her to attack them for getting near them they use the litter box and eat solid food now..
Answers:
how old are the kittens? Maybe they're old enough to leave the mother's side and she's trying to get them to be more independent or grow up.
I believe she is teaching her kittens how to get along in the outside world. Cats are very good mothers at teaching their off-spring life skills.
Mamma thinks it is time for Junior to get self-sufficient. It's nature's way.
She may be trying to ween them but some mother animals lack the mothering instinct and refuse to accept the babies as their own, Do you pick up the kittens alot? Sometimes if the the mother cat can not smell her scent on the kitten she will abandon them. But it really sounds like she might be trying to ween them. if they are eating fine and using the litter box just try to keep them away from her. Good Luck

The left side of my cat's jaw is really swollen..could this be trouble with his teeth?

Answers:
yes ..u should see a vet
same thing happened to my cat- but his jaw was broken - he climbed under a car and it broke his jaw when they turned it on. They wired him shut, and it healed. Take him to the vet ASAP!
You should get him to the vet ASAP. It could be dental problems, or he may have been bitten by another animal or insect.
Going to a vet is your best bet. It is very possible. Vets are perfesionals so they will know.
It could be an infected tooth or an abscess, a puss filled pocket (caused by a puncture wound and infection) that needs to be drained by a vet. In either case they will put your kitty on antibiotics and either pull the tooth or as before drain the pocket and possibly stitch it up if needed. Any case please go tho the vet and have it checked out. Either problem is easily fixed and will just require some time to heal.
Could be an allergy, but a vet should check him out incase it is more serious. Cats should be checked yearly, especially if he goes outside.
you should see a vet i could be anything maybe cancer
yes probaly a abbcess tooth
or she could have cut her gum
call the vet
Either that or a puncture wound from an encounter with another cat. He should see a vet. Let a professional deal with a cat with a sore tooth. I was cat sitting once and I noticed the sittee would only chew his kibble on one side of his mouth. Broken tooth. Vet pulled it. It didn't cost all that much. Cat sulked for days though. Can't blame him.

the furry part above my cat's eye looks rough, dry and today it started bleeding. does anyone know what it is?

Answers:
May have a skin allergy to something perhaps - I would take to vet just in case. I did see several other questions about this and people give their cats Benadryl - seriously - for this. You just have to give him or her the correct dosage.
You might want to check the cat for fleas.
because you need to give it more water!
no, but please take to Dr. He would take you. and care that you get better.
See the vet. Maybe the vet can give you something to give it so that it'll not be that dry anymore.
I'm not really sure what it could be but you might try putting Vasaline on it a few times a day to see if it helps. It could just be dry skin or maybe a battle wound. Hope it helps a bit.
Its probaly flees they can get anywhere and bite and also if it is flees you may what to get your house flee bomed they can bite humons

the free siamese cat?

We are in bucks county Pa, and the reason I am trying to avoid the SPCA and other shelters is because if my grandmother comes home we would like to get the cat back. We can't take it to the nursing home so that is not an option, and my uncle is currently paying elctric bills just for a cat that he is allergic to so keeping it is not an option for him. I am allergic as well and the rest of my family is a bunch of * heads.
Answers:
so let me get this streight, you want to give away your cat to a stranger, and when your grandma comes home you want the stranger to give the cat back? why don't you look for cat sitters or foster parents for cats? that would be bad on the cat to keep going back and forth between people. it needs a nice good home to call a home
Maybe one of your gramma's friends would enjoy keeping it for a while. Maybe you could help them change the litter etc. that way when your gramma gets out. she will have the cat.
A garbage bag, a piece of rope, a rock, and a creek.
iwould take it but i live to far away and i would want to keep it!
first of all, you need to learn to make sense in your writing.

I would just let it go

siamese are too tempermental
Put an ad in the paper.. also take pictures of the cat to the local veterinary office and dthey usually all have books of pets that are for sale or give away in their area.. I hope you do find a home for the poor kitty.

The componets of a cats purr.?

Cats purr for many different reasons, happiness, contentment, injured and when sad. The purr comes from the larynx, it's not a purr box, or a motor. The sound of a purring cat is so soothing. Who loves that gentle rumble of a cats purr?
Answers:
YES!! I love the meow-purr combo too! It just melts my heart. i have a big fat black cat named max. Any time I walk past him he lets out one of those meows and rolls so he is belly up, I cant help but stop what I'm doing and rub his belly. I also love when he follows me to bed. He'll start purring and knead my belly. I like the high pitched purrs too : D
I love it when my cats purr. My little fat cat also drools when she purrs, just a little, but I know she is happy when she is purring.
i love it!! although sometimes she purrs so fast and loud I begin to wonder if she will pass out!!
I LOVE IT MY CAT GIVES ME MASSAGES.
I feel very relaxed when I feel my cat purr.
I love it when my cat purrs, she's very loud! I know she's happy because she has food and everything she needs. She WAS a stray, and boy is she loving having somewhere warm to sleep, and fresh food and water everyday. I'm glad to hear some people still cherish their pets. :)
Ohhhh, I do! especially now that i'm pregant! It completely relaxes me! Plus, the purr/meox mix is adorable

The Cats Meow?

My cat wont stop meowing. heres food in her dish, clean litter box,no ticks or fleas. What the heck is she going through? Im going to cut off her tongue.
Answers:
Maybe she just needs a lil' bit of lovin'?

Tommy (my cat) won't stop crying, until I pick him up and pet him for a while . they need lovin' every once in a while, just like we do.
slap ur cat to bring it back to its senses
Maybe it wants to go out
yes cut off the tongue! that will certainly fix your problem. a bath in sulphuric acid would also do the trick
In such a situation my cat just wants to be caressed. All that's alive wants a bit of love from time to time.

Oh shoot, sb just 'stole' my answer!
SHE IS IN HEAT, or maybe waiting for her period :)
Cats meow for all kinds of reasons, much like we speak for various reasons. Could she be in heat? Could she be in pain? Does she just want a pat on the head or a cuddle? One of my cats meows endlessly if he gets bored. Cats are a lot like children in ways and this is one of them -- they can't express themselves coherently and they expect you to solve all their problems. Start figuring it out by process of elimination. Does she cry only when standing? Or only when you're really close to her? At night or during the day? What are you doing when she meows? Good luck figuring it out.
That Is Mean.=
has she been spayed yet?? maybe she's calling to a mate.
Some cats are just more vocal than others, the key is to continue to observe its behavior, and soon you will find your answer.
She just want's love . All animals do. But dont cut off her tougue . That's being gruel.

The cat wont stop using our bed as the litter?

Okay here is the deal the cat pees where he wants and poops where he wants! We give him lots of attention! we clean the litter out everyday!
we just got back from vacation so the cat used our bed as his box! well we marked it off as him missing us!
well everyday we have been back he has done the same thing poops on our bed!
well yesterday he did it twice when we got home from work he had a nice gift for us well we rubbed his nose in it and took control. i know this is good for dogs but does it work on cats? anyway while we were home he goes and uses the bed again!
it was a nice suprise before bed time!
I'm sick of changing the sheets! and just sick of the cat. we both love the cat but this is getting to be such a problem. i would love any advice!
we are in the current prossess of speaking to his rightful owner.
Male cat yes he has been snipped!
he doesn't spray just poops and pees!
he did pee infront of my partner while he was doing his act!
Thanks
Answers:
I bet this cat is got a problem, could be sick inside or an infected, Never rub it's face i it, it don't do any good and it is harmful. I have a cat that is 16 and she started this when she was a kitten. She would be good for awhile and then she would get a tract infection and pee in the bed again. I lost thousands of dollars throwing mattresses out and even if she is not infected, she will pee in the bed first chance she gets. The only thing you can do is keep the bedroom off limits to this cat! Door closed! Beating it won't help and I know it is easy to hurt a cat, when you compare strengths and how angry you get when this happens. talk to the vet, see if something is going on,or if this is just a bad habbit, and if you have not had the cat long and are not willing to keep the bedroom door shut, then you might want to find a new home for it. Mattress world has a bed cover that is thin and no water, nothing gets through it! It runs about 80.00 for a queen size. It is worth it just in case of an emergency. We bought them because we bought very expensive beds and keep the doors closed, but never know. Try getting a scent free litter, keep the litterboxes clean, yes, 2 of them, pee in one poop in the other. Tidy cat has a new brand out now next to the original, t says "new Tidy Lock" on the right side as you are loking at he container. No smell to it. Give it a try. My friend has a cat, had her it's whole life and the cat would not use the litter box then would pee in it but not poop, well found out kitty did not like her litter, the strong smell of it, so they buy arm and hammer scent free and the cat poops in it now too. They also bought the littermaid so the cat box stays clean. i have one as well. Good Luck to you, watch the temper! Trust me, I know what you are going through. Those doors have been shut for 16 years and she will try to slip in there at times. She has too! Please talk to the vet for some help sometimes something could be going on. Especially if the cat just peed in front of your partener!
How old is he.He may have an uncontrollable bathroom problem.take him to the vet..or if he's young it just takes time.put down newspapers he's just like toddlers he goes when he feels the urge instead of going before it is to late.if your just washing the sheets and putting them back on all of the smell is not getting out and he can smell it and will do it in the same place again.
Time to get rid of a cat. Once that smell is in things the cat will always do this. I love animals but I would get rid of it!
cats pee and poo on people's stuff for two reasons.they are trying to tell you they are sick or they hate your guts. I advise you rid yourself of this pet.i would have long ago
Put food bowls nearby (they don't poop/pee in feeding areas), or try a pheremone spray.
bye bye kittie
There are a few things you can do. First, have him checked for any health problems. Second, Rubbing a dogs nose in his 'accident' does not work for dogs, nor cats. It is best to reward him when he uses the litter box instead. (Long explanation on this, it may be best to get a good book on why not to do this at your library) Third: You can keep the cat confined to a bathroom or other room with his litter box and food/water/bed for a period of a few months until he gets into the habit of using his litter box again. Fourth: Most cats who eliminate inappropriately either have a health problem (First) or, they are upset about a change in the environment. (New pet, stray cats outside, new baby, move, change in litter, loud noises, being home alone all day, etc) If this is the case, and I suspect it is, think real hard about when he began this behavior and what had changed at that time in the environment. He is more than likely trying to tell you that he is upset about something in his environment. When you figure it out, you can try to work on removing or decreasing the changed element. If you can't think of anything and his health has been checked, you may go to the extreme and consult an animal communicator. Many people who have used reputable animal communicators wished they would have taken this 'extreme' step first, rather than later.

Finally, but move up the list to third: Add a couple more litter boxes to some rooms, especially the bedroom. Is his litterbox convenient for him to get to and in a place where he can go with quiet and no interruptions?
Good Luck and I hope his behavior resolves quickly for you.
Your going to have to get rid of the whole bed and not just the sheets because once a cat uses anything other than a litter box for a toilet the smell is there and if the cat can still smell It's poop then it will think that thats where it is suppose to go. the smell has to be totally gone in order for the cat not to go in the same spot.
I think you should take the cat to the vet. the cat may be sick or trying to tell you something.I have a cat of my own,she sometimes poops in my bathtub.she was driving me nuts. She poops in my bathtub when her litterbox is to dirty, cats are very picky. So now i change her litterbox as frequently as possible that way we are both happy. She still does it once in a while just to keep me in check.cats are very smart,if you pay close enough attention you learn how to figure them out.
If you can catch him--use a spray bottle as cats hate water
Have him checked by a vet for urinary tract infections. He also may suffer from separation anxiety. I would try locking him in your basement or the bathroom while your gone and keep him out of your bedroom. Good Luck
Cats with urinary tract or kidney infections tend to go in softer places (like beds) because it's more comfortable than going in the box, so take your cat to the vet to rule that out first.

If it's behavioral, rubbing his face in it doesn't do much: cats have very short memories. Reward him when he goes in the litter box with extra attention or treats and maybe look into getting a hormone spray like Feliway. It's a little pricey, but other cat owners I've talked to swear by it when their cats have behavioral problems.

Also, if you've got a closed-top box, try taking the top off for a while; the smells that get trapped in there are pretty horrific. You could also try a different litter (my cat won't go in the box when I buy the cheap stuff). If you catch your cat in the act, immediately pick him up and put him in the box.

I know it's frustrating; my cat pees in my clothes hamper occasionally, usually when she's mad or I'm not cleaning her litter box frequently enough for her tastes. You can yell and scream but the cat probably won't connect your aggression with his act.

The cat has found a new way to torment the dog.does your cat do this?

She catches these little shrews and doesn't hurt them so they are still lively but she keeps them just out of reach of the dog's tether. I bring the cat in, then if the critter hasn't run off, I pick it up with a gloved hand and release it in the woods. Then I take the dog in but next time she goes out she goes right to that spot again and barks.
Answers:
My cat is that main cat in the house and being that i have 10 ..yes big number i know kitty to dog torture. My cats just beats the dog when he annoys her. Your cat is just creative and doesn't like your dog at all. You have to start taking the shrews to a spot the cat or dog can't find the poor little thing and in about a month or two it should disappear. This worked when my cat started being creative and tortured my doggy. Well best of luck to you and I hope your problems dissipate.
She scratches and bites her, thats all.
cool cat, my dog wouldn't tolerate a dog for 2 sec. he just slaps the sh. out of it
That darned cat!! Mine does the same thing. Drives me nuts. I want those darn squirrels and rodents too!! I don't know if I'd eat them or not, because the cat always plays with them first. One of these days.
I don't think she's tormenting the dog, per se, I think she just isn't willing to share her prizes! The cat will actually bring these critters for YOU, they are gifts. My cat brings them in through the pet door and goes straight for under the table in the breakfast room where it is tiled and he can "play" with them.

I also have two dogs and two other cats that want a piece of the action without working for it like the great hunter kitty did. :)
That's hilarious! I have 2 kittens and they are very inventive, when it comes to finding ways to entertain each other. Probably she's feeling sorry for the doggle and trying to provide him with some fun, without risking getting caught.
yes, my cat jumps on the back of my roommate's dog and now the dog is scared to come near my room

That 'kneading' thing?

My 12 week old male tiger suddenly began doing that kneading thing when he's getting ready to sleep. He is very healthy, and is regular. He plays hard and is just a great cat. He is an indoor cat, too. But this kneading motion with the front paws is new; he didn't do his as a tiny kitten. What does this mean?
Answers:
This is a typical action. It goes back to the times when cats were wild and kneaded a place to sleep, making the ground, leaves, or whatever as soft as possible for them to rest in. It makes it more comfy to lay in - even if it is just a soft bed or pillow, or lap, anyway! Young kittens also knead their mothers to make the milk flow more freely when they are suckling.
kittens do this to keep the mama's milk going. most cats do it their whole life.
J-ME just gave the answer I was going to say. He's correct.
it calms him it makes him think he is with his mom again that is all nothing is wrong don't worry!
ALL CATS DO THAT. THERE'S AN OLD SAYING THAT CATS STARTED DOING THIS AT THE BEGINING OF TIME TO MAKE SURE THERE WEREN'T ANY SNAKES IN THEIR BEDS.
THEY WILL KNEAD BECAUSE THEY ARE CONTENT AND GETTING READY TO GO TO SLEEP EVER NOTICE HOW THEY ARE PURRING AS THEY DRINK FROM THEIR MOTHER. ALSO IF THEY DO SUCK ON THE BLANKET IT IS ALSO BECAUSE THEY WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEIR MOTHER TOO YOUNG. MY CAT IS TWELVE NEXT MONTH AND SHE STILL DOES IT.
Normal activity but no idea why he JUST starting doing it at 12.. Maybe something changed in your household and he is feeling like he wants some extra comfort.
My cat Bienvenu that just died at 19- he would do that on my stomach when I was home sick- not sure why he only did it when I wasn't well.
Cats are very tuned in to us- maybe you will somehow be able to tune in to him too on this one?. best of luck.
The kneading is a throwback to when your cat would knead on its mother's abdomen to stimulate the flow of milk. Some cats drool when they do this. Some people think that keeping a cat as a domestic pet causing them to be frozen in a kitten-like state into their adult years. Its normal for a cat to knead. It comforts and calms them, like nursing did when they were kittens.
I call it happy feet. my cat does this to all my sweaters that I leave on my bed and suckles them. he's 11 years old, I don't think he'll ever out grow this
He may have done it without you seeing! It's from the motion they make when they are nursing from their mom. They start doing it after they are weaned when they are happy and want to comfort themselves, usually before getting comfy to sleep. They usually purr at the same time. There's nothing like being in bed, lying on your tummy, and this big old cat comes on up and kneads on your sore back! Ahhh..
Kneading is good. It calms the cat down, and with my cats, makes them happier and they purr more. Don't be worried kneading is good, your cat could be showing that he trusts you and loves you.
That's weird that he didn't knead before. Most cats always knead.

thanks to all those supportive peopleabout my ill cat.?

i took my cat to vet and she has a urinary infection she has had antibiotics and has to have a litter tray as she is so old she does'nt want to go out at night so thanx to u all
Answers:
I am glad she can have a box inside and stay in for the night. Cats, like people, have their senses diminished with age - don't move as agilely, don't smell or hear as well. So she is more vulnerable to predators and other dangers as she ages.

May she continue to have a healthy, safe life with you for many years to come.
no problem
Cat lovers of the world unite! My much loved cat passed away last month and I am still very sad :( . Hope your puss pulls through.
its ok we all love cats
good luck getting the pills in her.
Hope she gets over her infection soon, bobbyb.

(((bobbyb's cat)))

thanks to all the answers to my questions but here is one more?

when she does go into labour how will we know what kinda sounds will she be making and would it be ok to watch her she is a very loving cat so i dont think she will mind
Answers:
She'll pant. She will become very restless trying to get comfortable. She may even mew a little with the contractions. She will breathe heavy and may growl a litle when pushing. you will notice her concentrating quite a bit on what is going on. Another sign she will lick herself alot to make sure she is clean and to help lube things. She will most likely let you watch. She may even be ok with letting you help. I would let her to alot of the work but be there if she should have some difficulties. When she starts getting really tired she may even use your help getting the sacks off and getting them to nurse. As far as touching if she is willing to let you there will be no problem. If she does start to act concerned just back off a little. She will let you know if she needs you or she doesn't want you there. Mother cats have a way of getting their point across and you will know either way.

Another sign it is close She will also either quit eating or she will gorge herself and then stop.
SHE'LL PROBABLY PANT A LITTLE. IF SHE'S COMFORTABLE WITH YOU WATCHING SHE'LL TELL YOU. IF YOU'RE WATCHING AND SHE STARTS TRYING TO FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE TO GO, LEAVE HER ALONE. BUT, DO NOT TOUCH THEM. AT ALL. AND GET HER SPAYED BEFORE YOU LET HER OUT AGAIN.
When she first goes into labour she will be panting quite heavily. She will probably meow quite loud when the first kitten comes out but will be silent with the rest. Most cats like to find their own place to deliver not one you have chosen. I`m sure she won`t mind you watching.
mostly its what she'll be doing -which is: looking for a quite, kindda dark place, maybe the drawer in a dresser or a closet..mine pulled out the shirts, everyday in a drawer for about a week be4 going into labor-watch for repeated actions to a particular place-once she finds that spot she won't leave much-once in labor ( she will sometimes toss %26 turn-moving the babies down for birth-in active labor-she'll push-looking like a making a poop-you'll see her belly contracting) jus stand by and let her do her thing-( you can rub her belly %26 giving praise) dont touch babies yet-just watch -its a time consuming process %26 she'll be working deligently to get her family breathing and clean-its so amazing to see-keep voices at a minimum when around her-for your own diary..log the times of birhts and colors- keepa a lil scrapbk, lol.

Good luck %26 Congrats
She may start panting or meowing, may be very distracted and seem kind of panicky - we've had different cats have very different reactions. Hopefully you have a nice box, lined with towels and then put something soft and disposable on top - like part of an old sheet or old towel - cause you are going to have a heck of a mess. If you see that she may be starting, try to put her in the box. She may, however, want to hide somewhere. We had kittens born under a bed once and didn't know until the mom came out to eat.
It's okay to watch them being born - very fascinating, and you can talk to the mom. Once she starts, don't touch her or the kittens! Hopefully everything will go fine with the births. She may change her personality, because now she will be very protective of her babies. Good luck with everything! Kittens are so exciting!

thanks community?

for the advice I shaved my poor cat's matted hair. he feels much more comfortable I think.
Answers:
How is that a question?
Just don't let him see himself in the mirror!! My former neighbor used to shave her cat and he would get embarrassed!!

p.s. I'm not making fun.I'm sure he feels much better and any potential embarrassment is totally worth it!!
u r w !
Um,Yeah your point?Whats the q?
I didn't answer your original question, but also have a long haired cat that I have shaved twice a year by a groomer. He is a Maine Coon and has a very heavy undercoat that is next to impossible to groom properly. Though he looks a bit silly after he is shaved, he does feel better and is able to groom himself easier and has less hairballs.
that's great I am glad he is comfortable

Thank you, Loz, for your answer about my 19-year old cat who was vomiiting all the time. I took her to the vet

She stayed for two days to get fluid in her. They took tests and x-rays. It turns out that she has hypothyroidism, arthritis, tumor on the liver(don't know if it's cancerous), and something in her lungs because she's breathing hard. I brought her home, but if she's not better after she finishes her medication, I'll probably have to have her put to sleep. I also found that she's 16, not 19-but still getting old.Thank you for caring answer.

Hi AngelEyes. Thank you for your kind comments. I'm so sorry to hear about your cat- it sounds like you're in a bit of a hard place right now. I hope things work out for her, but you've got my deepest sympathies if you do have to put her to sleep. If this is where you end up, just remember that you will be doing the kindest thing for her.

Take care
thats to bad you have to put her to sleep.. I`ve nvr had to do that to a cat. :(
Sorry to hear your kitty is sick. I hope everything turns out okay.
sorry about your cat. Hope she gets better.
good luck with you cat. i know that is very hard.
Sorry to hear that, I wish should can get better. I had to put 2 of my cats to sleep a few years ago because of kidney problems and it was very hard but they were suffering. I think you will know when it's time. Thank god she had you for 16 years, alot of animals don't get to have that. Just make sure it is the right time when you do it. Good luck.
oh I AM SO SORRY TO Hear this keep her comfortable and if you can stay with her she needs you and you need her it is so hard for us human beginnings to let go of our pets but we some how know when the time is near and we have to let go take care of your self I hope you have some one to be with you this is when a friend is needed
thank you
You have my sympathies! I lost my 20-year old a couple of years ago. I'd had her for 16 years.

Thank you to all those who answered question on kittens biting and nipping.?

I have tried every single thing except the obvious which I will never do - declaw, hit, bite back. This is abuse %26 I love my little guy way too much. He actually chews on the spray bottle I use to spray him with. I can only hope that he'll outgrow this as he's still a kitten. He is the most affectionate little thing though. He purrs instantly, long %26 loud %26 he just loves to give kisses. Thank you to all who took the time to answer my question.
Answers:
I didn't see your question the first time, but, remember this is a baby. Kittens teeth. They have to learn how hard their bite is. The best thing you can do is find a toy or several toys the kitten loves to bite or chew and use them to distract him from biting you. You will end up with a happier, better adjusted cat if you try
this kind of approach.

In my experience many cats enjoy playing with ping pong balls. They love the thrill of the chase. Maybe your kitten likes something else. I have a cat who would fetch a ball of wadded receipt paper. Now all the receipt paper is smooth and shiny and sticks in his mouth so we can't do that any more. Be creative. Ask what toys other peoples' cats like most.

What I hated was having a kitten who would pounce on my eyelashes when I started dreaming. That was very unpleasant for a while.
i no you said would never hit it but try tapping it with a piece of paper on the nose the sound teaches it

Thank you for all your caring answers.?

I didn't mean that everyone who answered me last night was rude-only a few. But to the person who just now said that I need to be more thick-skinned? Well, I am a sensitive person and I don't want that to change. It's a gift that God gave me.
I will soon be 60 years old and I grew up in a time when people were much nicer and more caring than they are now. The world is turning so cold and hard. But there are still some caring people, some of which answered my question. And I thank you and bless you all for that. God Bless.
Answers:
Hi there again. our prayers and thoughts are thinking of you.
I am so sorry that I did not get your question.. As far as people nowadays being rude. I thought I was the ONLY person who knew that.. I am disgusted with the uncaring-ness and rudeness of young people today.. It is due to a number of things but chief among those is the horrible situation that our schools are in now. They(the school and the school system) has deteriorated so much. My field is education but I would NEVER NEVER enter the school system because of its decrepid condition and they turn uit children that are uneducated and rude
Ssssh! Don`t tell anyone. I`m about the same age as you. Please don`t change, you sound lovely the way you are.
Sorry!! I read your last 2 questions and I believe that *Seattle* is the most caring out of all of them!

I hate to tell you but a 19 yr. old cat with that many health problems isn't a good sign. I'm only telling you to be prepared for the worst!

I know how you feel though, this past July my 2 yr. old male cat had to be put down because of sudden kidney failure. I had no idea that he was that bad off (my vet totally misdiagnosed him)! I did everything I possibly could for him butin the end it just became to much for him.

I seem to be rude to at times when I see questions on here where people are to irresponsible to spay/neuter their cats! it really makes me sick and it's very hard for me to be nice to people like them because they're just so unaware of all the homeless cats/kits in this world. they really put me on edge!

but you seem to very caring and know that your cat is in serious condition and needs a vet ASAP! hope all goes well!!

thank you all?

callie will be fine in coulpe of days she had a cold and she look happy too.

htat is a good thing to know
Good news and nice to let us know
give her my best wishes
good to hear that from you..but is that a ? or a complementary remark..by then i`m happy that she will be fine. It`s a relief for you for sure.
Thanks for the good news. Sometimes things are so dire here that it gets depressing and we don't get feedback on the outcomes.

Glad Callie is much better.
Thank you so much for letting us know it is nice to know the outcome for the animals here again thank you
thank you

Territorial?

My cat get so very territorial over a fuzzy mouse to the point where if you get close to him then he hisses and growls at you, and he keeps that mouse in his mouth and will not let go. My hubby had to hold him down with both hands and I had to try and get the mouse away from him because my daughter wanted to play with it to and we were scared that he would claw the crap out of her if she got close. Why is this. He had never been this way with his toys and someone getting close to him, he usually likes it when you play with him but you give him that mouse and it is a whole new cat and attitude.
Answers:
Hi,,, what are you doing?? Just go buy your daughter another Mouse !! and leave the darn cat alone !

Or are you too cheap?? lol

good luck
sounds like you need to bring the cat to the vet and get the cat a temper shot i know its funny but it works had to do it to mine and while your there get the cat declawed if he is in doors
Has he been desexed?

If the mouse is the cat's, why does your daughter have to play with it, after all he feels it is his kill and shouldnt have to give it up. Doesnt she have enough toys. Cats dont share and should be allowed to have their own.
If your daughter is in so much in need of a mouse .. get her one of her own.

De-clawing is barbaric and totally senseless and cruel.
One of my cats is the same, he is not bothered by most of his toys but if he gets hold of the lid from a tub of Pringles he goes mad, he hisses at his brother and if I try to take it away from him he hisses at me then runs under the sofa and stays there till I leave. I think it just that he sees at as HIS, which is fine, I just let him keep it now. Eventually he get sick of it and turns back into his normal self.
Let your cat have the mouse to be his very own and maybe get some different toys so your daughter can play with the cat, toys on string attached to a stick are great and that way your daughter doesn't have to get too close.
I would generally agree - leave that toy to the cat, and get your daughter another mouse, or another toy, that is clearly off-limits for the cat. If a toy has been given to the cat, it belongs to the cat - just as if you give a doll to Anne, her sister Jenny should not play with it without permission from Anne.

Declawing - NO! It's cruel to the cat. and it definitely won't solve the aggression problem, as declawed cats will turn to biting if they feel threatened.

The only home treatment for aggressive behavior in cats I have read consistently recommended is play sessions - daily, commit a time to play with your cat, so that he will exhaust his energy in an acceptable way, and will feel confident in your love and affection to him, which greatly improves your chances that he will be obedient.

And - is he fixed? I heartily recommend he should be, if he hasn't been yet.
Just ignore the cat when it does that. If you start to get upset or even notice his behaviour he Will associate that with it being OK. Maybe trying getting the cat his own mouse? Maybe with some catnip that way your daughter can have her mouse and your cat can have his. Just remember he is not doing it to be mean, he sees the mouse as his kill and remember in the wild cats have to fight each other to get at a kill and eat. If it continues I suggest getting a book to see if you can read what might you be able to do to change his behaviour
First of all. Why is your daughter playing with a toy that's been in your cat's mouth. Buy her her own toys and establish with your daughter that the mouse is the CATS TOY. Not hers.

Territorial cat!- Why does a cat try to go after anyone touching his litter box?

There is nothing wrong with him, I believe he is just very territorial. Would having him neutered help? Does it matter if 6yrs old? Any suggestions from anyone whose experienced anyhting like this would be greatly appreciated. PLEASE, NO RUDE ANSWERS!!
Answers:
Weird! I've never heard of anything like this.

I agree that putting him in another room while you clean the litter box is likely the easiest solution. Neutering is a good idea, but will not help with this problem.

You can work on changing his behavior by counter-conditioning him. When he is near the litter pan (but not in the midst of using it), walk by from several feet away and drop some treats or catnip. Do this until he shows no signs of getting concerned that you are there. Then repeat, but move a few inches closer to the pan. Continue in this manner until you can stand right next to the box.

Next, crouch down a few inches and drop treats. Same idea as above; when he is comfortable at one level, proceed to the next. In this case, you would crouch down a bit more at each stage. Finally, reach toward the litter pan and give treats, then touch the pan and give treats, and finally clean the pan and give treats.

Yes, a long and drawn out process, but it's the only way to teach him to not freak out when you touch the pan.

I have a cat myself, and I know how territorial they can be. Yes you can get him neutered he is still young enough to be able to handle it. though I am not to sure how much it would help. But it may be you might just have to lock him in a room when you clean his litter pan to keep him from getting to upset and from you getting to upset. Be happy it is only his litter box, I knew a cat that would hiss and claw at anyone that came into the house alone that was not her family!!
cats are very hygienic, he doesn't like you disturbing the poo-poo.
My kitten does it too, and continues, even after he is fixed. We change the litter box every day. I think it's partly territoriality and partially curiosity. Or maybe he's trying to show you he appreciates it when you change his litter. Most likely he is marking it with his scent though. It don't think it's a problem. Getting him fixed is a good idea if he goes outside.
Having him neutered will help ALOT. Though sometimes it might still happen occasionally, especially if there is a new animal in the house. I have a neutered cat, and he is very territorial and thinks he is very tough, but he has only sprayed when we introduced him to our dog. Never again since.

Terrified of cats?

I dont think this is normal, Im scared to death of cats, I had a puppy and love animals but there's something about cats that makes my skin feel weird, Im allergic to them but I dont think that is the reason why Im so scared, I think their eyes look evil and when I see them stretching OMG! I feel something I cant put into words but it feels horrible. We were babysitting a black cat and I felt awful bacause she was so sweet and kept chasing me but I couldnt be around her first for my allergy and Im pregant so couldnt afford to get sick and then I was scared of her, it was so bad I had to leave to my sister's house until my husband's aunt could come pick her up.
I dont want to feel like this since my husband loves cats and I want my baby to have one when he is older.
Answers:
Ok well phobias come in all shapes and forms. My advice here is that it may be a recurring memory from childhood, something unpleasant which you have forgotten or even (and this is a bit out there) but if you believe in it, perhaps an extremely bad cat-related experience in a past life.
Have you tried hypnotherapy? Have you googled your phobia? maybe there are others on the big world wide web who can help or at the very least, relate to your story. Good luck :)
cat-o-phobia?
You should get to know cats. Pick a kitten that is about 1-2 months and train it not to hurt you. I suggest a female(P.S: this may not answer your question.)
Is there some sort of question here?
well, you probably had a horrible trauma you cant remember about cats when you were young, or maybe in a past life a cat mauled you to death and you cant get it out of your cell memory, Google cell memory it might teach you a lot about things from past lives that stick in our current life.
Hi Audrey.ailurophobia (fear of cats) is a real fear you are experiencing. Generally, most people can put their fears into perspective with professional guidance. I hope the following information may be of help to you as to how or why you are experiencing this fear towards cats.

http://www.changethatsrightnow.com/fear-.
What is the cause of Cats Fear?

Like all fears and phobias, cats fear is created by the unconscious mind as a protective mechanism. At some point in your past, there was probably an event linking cats and emotional trauma. Whilst the original catalyst may have been a real-life scare of some kind, the condition can also be triggered by myriad, benign events like movies, TV, or perhaps seeing someone else experience trauma.

But so long as the negative association is powerful enough, the unconscious mind thinks: "This is very dangerous. How do I keep myself from getting in this kind of situation again? I know, I'll attach terrible feelings to cats, that way I'll steer clear in future and so be safe." Just like that a phobia is born. Attaching emotions to situations is one of the primary ways that humans learn. Sometimes we just get the wiring wrong.

The actual phobia manifests itself in different ways. Some sufferers experience it almost all the time, others just in response to direct stimuli. Everyone has their own unique formula for when and how to feel bad.

I do not know why you are terrified of them, but you have got to get this silly idea that they are "evil" out of your head. Many cats have suffered at the hands of humans, who thought the very same thing. I hope you can get over whatever is causing this fear.
Try to get to know them. Cat's aren' bad. But some thigns aren't for everyone, which is okay. I'm sure you'll become better friends with cats. I'm sure your husband would be willing to help. Just go and put out your hand. The cat will usually slowly aproach and sniff. If it stops sniffing, looks up and stays there, I usually take that as a sign saying "It's okay to pet me" if the cat finishes sniffing and starts walking away, that would have to be more of saying, "No thanks, Please don't bother me right now (or) I don't trust you" Hope this helps for now!
Cats kill babys! Talk to the girl who wants to be one.
I was watching Wild About Animals one day on TV when I watched an interesting fact they had. They have their interesting questions on commercial breaks. I was intrigued by the little tidbit when I was made known of the fact that Cats actually evolved from the Canine species ( explains to me the skeletal structures of cats such as Lions and other large ones. )
I had one cat before, a little black colored cat with a hand full of white spots. His mother must have either been fer-rile or abandoned because he was raised with the streets in his blood. Just like dogs, there is a multitude of breeds of cat. Different temperaments, shapes and colors (um and prices.) The most memorable cats where the ones at the animal shelter though. When I volunteered there, one of the veterinarians suggested I spend time some days with the cats in their display window. Most of them just enjoyed the company. I am not sure how you may shake your fear of cats but hopefully somebody will come across about info on allergies and phobias for you.

Tension injection?

Why do i need tablets after i get a jag from Kitten bite
Answers:
If you weren't up to date with your tetanus jabs, then bacteria from a bite that punctures your skin, could cause tetanus.
are you talking about tetnaus?

http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/.
to prevent any infection. the jab would have been a tetanus injection
The disease is TETANUS, guys.
Hi there.

Tetanus [TET-nus] is a condition that affects the nervous system and causes painful, uncontrolled muscle spasms. People get tetanus when spores of the tetanus bacteria enter the body through an open wound and produce a powerful nerve poison.

Tetanus spores are found throughout the environment, usually in soil, dust, and animal saliva or waste.

Tetanus is preventable through immunization/injection.

Here's a website that describes why tetanus is necessary:
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tetanus.
Tetanus another name for this is Lock Jaw x
do you mean tetanus?
I got a deep puncture bite from a shelter cat (entirely my fault, I wasn't being attentive enough). I had intravenous penicillin and then took pills for about ten days.

The effect of penicillin shots are very short-lived and that's why you must continue the treatment with pills to they are all used up.
Tension injection? Do you mean Tetanus shot? And it helps prevent infection.
You need a tetanus injection in case the bacteria clostridium botulinum is in the bite as this could kill you. The tablets are probably antibiotics to prevent other bacterial infections developing. Cats have a lot of bacteria in their saliva so bites can easily get infected.
to stop you getting something really nasty

Tell me about runts? (kittens)cats)?

I am curious why mother cats kick out runts?

How can they tell if a kitten is a runt when all the kittens are close to same size, all being small and all.

Does a runt stay small all it's life?

Is it true runts have a short life span? If so, why?
Answers:
Mothers can tell by instinct. The runt is generally not as healthy as the others and she is sticking to the survival of the fittest rule. Runts can and often do overcome their compromised beginnings. Your job is to watch and intervene with extra care for the kitten if the mother is shunning it. If she shows signs of aggression towards it, you may need to remove it from her as she might kill it. She's not mean, she's just following her natural instincts.
My cat is a 'runt' and he gets sick a lot. I think they stay small, as he is half the weight/size of all the other cats I know.
I agree with cc228. This is normal. It is how the animal world works. I would watch over it and even take it away from the mom if need be. You would have to become its mom. They do stay small. I have read that a runt smells different and the mother can smell it.
Runts are usually the smallest of the litter. The ones who are left behind, always the one fighting to get through the others to feed etc. Because they have a hard start to life, runts can suffer from more health problems then stronger cats. They need special care and possibly can not grow as strong as a healthy cat.

Jerry was the runt in my litter, and he never grew to a healthy size. He was sick with rhinitis and used to vomit nearly every day. It got so bad that the kindest thing to do was to put him to sleep. Its a cruel world, but thats nature for us.

Tell me a something silly about your beloved cat.?

One of my cats is blind in one eye and she walks with her good eye centered and her head is tilted because of this. On top of that she often has her tongue sticking out and it makes my heart melt every time. I'd like to hear about your silly cats.
Answers:
My cat loves popcorn, drinks from the toilet, is fascinated by water but runs from it (psycho, lol).he gives me hugs. I'll be standing next to something that's waist-high (a dresser, a sink counter, etc.) and he'll stand up on his hind legs, put his front paws on my chest, and rub his head all over my chin and cheeks..sometimes licking my neck, lol.

He's also my consoler..and my stress monitor. If I'm yelling about something, he'll get as close to me as possible (in my face if he can) and meow his head off until I calm down. If I'm crying, he'll snuggle with me until I settle down..which is usually through petting him. If I stop petting him when I'm upset, he'll reach his paw out and touch me..as if to say, "It's ok, I'm here".

I think he has a slight case of OCD. If you put something up on something that's not supposed to be there (say, a pen or bottle cap on the arm of the couch), he'll reach up and bat it off..and he'll continue to do it until you stop putting the item back. He even knocked my friend's cell phone off the couch arm one night. And he seems to really hate pens. We moved the couch the other day to vacuum under it, and there were 4 pens and a foam dart under there. I lose more good pens that way;)

God, I love my cat:)
My cat eats corn on the cob, and not just for the butter. I mean actually eats it off
my cat is silly he loves to nuzzle in my hair and puts his paws around me like a child
When I was a child, my cat (a Siamese), would suck it's tail, just like a child sucking it's thumb.
I have 2 male cats and they love to cuddle each other. My hubby swears they are gay. They love to be together, they follow each other everywhere, and give each other kisses and lick each other. Its funny. Then they wrestle each other and chase each other. Its quite funny!
My cat Bridgette could do "happy tail" on command she lived for
ten years.
I had an old cat that kept on having strokes, he would do the same, walk around with at tilted head and tongue hanging out. Once we took him to the vet and he told us why he was walking with his head tilted and tongue hanging out, we fealt bad because we had let him do this for months, not realizing that this was from having strokes. My current cat has the largest head of any cat I have ever seen, and we believe has downs syndrome, cat style. Believe me, he must be mentally retarded in some way.
One of my cats likes to lick the condensation off the outside of glasses.
lol.your cat story makes me smile just to think of what it looks like. I have a cat that follows me around the house.everywhere i go she has to be there. i am a stay at home mom.so she is always beside me. when i go to the bathroom she sits outside of the door and meow's loudly. if i go into the bedroom at night and shut the door she will paw under the door and meow until i let her in. her meowing annoys the heck out of me sometimes though. every time i get up to go into a different room she meows like i am offending her by making her get up to follow me.
I have a very large Maine Coon, I also have a very high log loft in my house, she likes to walk the log, I think just to totally freak me out. She has to know how far down the fall is. She has fallen twice, she will walk like it is a balance rope, meow for me to look up at her and then jump down. HMMMM I think she gets her kicks out of scaring her mom to death :)
well i don't have a cat but my friend has a cat.. and when he eats CatNip he gets so high and starts acting really weird.. it's SO hillarious!
When it was time for bed all I had to say was "Come on good girl, time for bed." She would wait for me at the bottom of the stairs and climb them just ahead of me.

Then she would jump up on the bed and just stand there. After i crawled into bed she would stand there and wait for my to roll over on my left side and lay my hand flat down outside the covers.

After a moment she would curl up on top on my hand and begin purring.

God I miss her. She was 18.
My younger brother stuck our cat in the microwave once and turned it on.
That's about as "silly" as things get around here.
my cat thinks its a dog.it plays fetch, rools over and begs for food
When my cat is in the room, I can say "Where's the upside down cat?" and he'll flop over onto his side with a grunt and roll upside down and meow.
I only have one cat now but when I had two the one that I still have would open the fridge (yes, really!!) and hold the door open while the other would steal food. Then the two of them would go outside through the window %26 eat it. In the end I had to get a child lock for the fridge to keep them out.
My cat is really weird I call her Poo-Pond, but anyways. My Cat rather play with a cigarette pack rather than a toy or even cat nip and the strange thing about it is. if you was to through the pack my cat would run up to the pack and pick it up and bring it back to you just like a dog would. She is a very smart cat
The cat we used to have would get up on the ironing board (which is near the back door) when she wanted to go outside. Sometimes she would get impatient waiting for us to notice her on the ironing board and would start looking around. If she looked over one side and saw her tail on the other side she sometimes would try to catch her tail, with a loud "thump" as a result as she fell off the ironing board!

Also, she liked to play with rolled-up socks. Sometimes if you were watching TV or something all of a sudden out of the corner of your eye you would see a ball of socks fly into the air.
my cat think my dog is it mom and when i go to walk the dog the cat get excited and my cat eats dog food and she drinks from the towelet you would honestly think that it is a dog in disguise and they cuddle to gether and they play fight for hours great fun to watch i love princes and bella
xoxoxoxoxooox
Hi there.how adorable! Your kitty sounds amazing.

I do have one kitty who loves to suckle/nurse his toes when he's trying to fall asleep. Given the chance he'll try to suck his adoptive brother's toes too.
my cat is bitchh
i found her pregnant i asked my cat who is the father of ur kids the cat didnt reply to me
i want to know who is the idiot that had sex with my cat
i am sure the cat of my silly neighbor who did that
My little kitten loves to jump in the bath tub with me , he swims and he jumps out and licks himself and jumps back in and does the same thing and he loves to bouce all around the run for no reason. And he tryes to sneek intop my carrying bag and went I leave to go to school , and I found him in my bag and I had to gohome that day and I got in so much trouble . But I didn't care , but I thought it was cute and I didn't get mad at him,I can never get mad at him.
My cat will go downstairs and he wont stop meowing until i turn on the lights for him.

He also catches popcorn w/ his front paws, and eats it. He loves that stuff!

when im holding him, before i let him down, he has to give me a kiss, then he can go. sometimes i make him give me a hug. its sooo cute!
My cat, Rafikki, sits in the bathroom while I shower EVERY MORNING so that she can lick up the contact solution I dump in the sink after putting my contacts in.
She gets really hyper after pooping; she runs all over the house, stops suddenly with her arms and claws out, her eyes flashing wild, then takes off again.
She meows back at me every time I say "hi".
She'll eat spaghetti and goldfish crackers, but won't touch canned cat food.
I have 4 cats and I love them all even though they are very naughty most of the time.
Toonces, my only male, and the naughtiest of them all, delights in driving the girls nuts and I get to play referee most of the time. He bites me on the nose every morning at 4:30 am. I can only assume that whoever owned him before me ( he was a stray ) was an early riser and he is used to getting up that early.
Aww. your kitty sounds sweet. I have a boy cat and his name is Mickey. He is the supervisor of the house. When I am typing on the computer he likes to jump up on the desk and watch me or watch my monitor and sometimes he likes to try typing too. He even likes to just plop down right on top of my hands while I am typing. He also supervises me when I am standing at the sink brushing my teeth. He reaches with his paw and wants to inspect my toothbrush. He is a sweet and quiet cat but when I am taking a shower, he barges his way into the bathroom and sits on the floor and howls like a crazy banshee. Either he hates the sound of the water running, hates that I'm hiding behind a shower curtain or just thinks its plain unnatural for me to be standing under running water! In any case, he's my little sweetie.
I have 3 adult cats and one kitten all female. My cats loves to sing with me, when ever I have the radio on and I start to sing, there they are singing along with me. I think its the cutest thing, my husband says its because they love my voice. My kitten on the other hand, she sits right in front of us while we are using the rest room, when we flush there she is, front paws on the seat watching everything go down. When its done she gets down until the next time. I know that sounds nuts but ever since we got her she has done that.
My cat does a silent meow , as though she is on mute or something. Pretty silly.
I had a cat named Normie and my roommate has a cat named Pipper. Late one night after going to bed, I started hearing a "ka-thunk, boom" sound in the living room. I got up, but nothing was going on. Both cats were laying peacefully at the front door looking at me as if saying, "we're not doing anything." I went back to bed and a few minutes later, more "ka-thunk, boom". Got up again, knowing Pipper was "up to something."

So I decided to pretend to go back to bed but instead just stepped inside my bedroom door. Sure enough, the thumping started again and I rushed around the corner to find Normie still laying on the floor, almost laughing at Pipper jumping up the wall trying to catch the lights from cars coming thru the glass window in the door.

The "ka-thunk, boom" was Pipper hitting the wall, then landing with a boom on the floor. I laughed so hard I could barely tell the story to my roommate.

Normie has passed on and I miss him so terribly much, but Pipper is still going strong. He is one of the funniest cats I've known. Pipper also likes to play "fast fast run run". Just mention those words, and he is off and running through the house as fast as his fat little legs will carry him.

Teatolaller and Killerilona.?

For some dumb reason PetQnA.com won't let me comment on my question to elaborate. so here is my elaboration.

Ok here's some information I left out. Princess used to live at my Aunt-In-Law's farm, that's where we took her back to. We didn't drop her at some random field. My Grandma-in-Law knew I wanted a cat and was down visiting and picked her up for me as a suprise. My inlaws don't take their animals to the vet so they didn't know I was trying to save up money for shots and neutering/spaying and all that stuff you take cats to the vet for, before actually bringing one into my house. That is why I did not have the money to take her to the vet, and we had thought about having my Uncle-in-Law put her down just in case she was in pain/terminally ill, but I couldn't stand the thought of killing a possibly pregnant cat, so I just returned her to her former owner. Trust me, if I had enough money, I would have taken both Princess and Tidus to the vet day one.
Answers:
I think taking her to her former owner was a wise decision.
If you can't afford to take care of your pets you shouldn't have them.Putting an animal down without taking them to the vet to see what is wrong with them and try to help them get better is a sorry way to deal with the problem.

sorry to be so harsh, but that is the truth.
Princess should have at least been tested for feline leukemia as that is something she could have given to Tidus and will probably die at the farm from that disease. You should definitely have Tidus given the tests for feline leukemia (after a month or so, depending on how long you had them together). They can also test him at the same time for FIV as that would also be a possibility.

Never bring a strange cat into your household without these tests as the diseases can be transferred from one cat to another by sharing water bowls or food dishes.
Ell, the best thing you can do is make sure Tidus has been wormed and his vaccinations up to date.
From what you said you have been a responsible pet owner and he is up to date, and hence why he only had a small dose of flu.

Aint it great these "suprises". You did do the best thing taking Princess back, you werent ready for a new cat yet.

Good luck, and sorry if my answer got the wrong end of the stick

Teach my cat to..?

how do i teach my cat to do my homework?
What about dancing
or karate
Answers:
Homework. enroll your cat when they're young in a good pre-school program and then make sure they can get into a decent private K-12 type school. Public school will not cut it for your cat.

Dancing, Julliard without a doubt.

Karate, have a Karate Kid marathon and strap the cat infront of the television. Try to have the cat focus on the Cobra Kai though. STRIKE FIRST, STRIKE HARD, AND NO MERCY!! You cat will be a mean, lean leg sweeping machine and won't whine about being disqualified.
Yeah I wish. Bribe it with tuna. Lol
Do brain surgery on him and replace his brain with Paris Hilton's.
i dont think u can teach ur cat any of those but u can teach him or her do alot of stuff like jump ova a pillow or over a hula hoop ect. or let him or her show u wen hes ready. cats learn alot of things by themselves and sometimes they might show it around u or wen ur gone but that really depends how close uand ur cat are! good luck!
What? Replace the cat's brain with Paris Hilton's? That would just make the cat stupid!
well u cant teach a cat to do ur homework or karate but u might be able to teach it to dance. just get some catnip or whatever your cat likes and make him go around in circles, stand up, etc.
good luck!
Positive reinforcement!

Each time your cat does an algebra problem, a dance step or an elbow strike -- give it a treat.

Pretty soon you'll be able to kick back while your cat writes your term papers, wins dance contests, and beats up all the local bullies.
kill it dicecit it, insert cat like robot, then reseal or sitch it back up
Put a mask on it and ship it to Math Camp. For 60 years. After the cat is literlly brain washed with math and homework-ship to a karate dojo for 5 years, and ballet school for eight. Then see what happens. {Lol'_'}
Sorry , but I really think that cant happen , some pepole taught cat's to use the toilet, walk on a leash , stuff like that . But it would be cool.
