Other then kidney failure, there is nothing that would take down a cat so quickly. Kidney failure occures after vaccination, and due to poisoning. The fact that they both died so close to each other would indicate poisoning. If they lost movement in the rear end, it was apparently something that affected their nervous system. Only toxins will do this. Again, vaccinations can be toxic to some animals. Although it's not common, it can happen. Something was toxic to them. It's in the house somewhere if they were not vaccinated within the last couple of weeks. Vaccines are live viruses. If other cats were vaccintated, and they wern't they could have caught one of those virusus. Feline lukemia, parvo, leptosperosis, etc. I hope all the other cats fair ok. What a shame. My heart goes out to your boss.
he should have taken them to be autopsied..sounds like poison
I would call a vet.. sounds weird.
tell them to take each electric cord in the house, unplug it and using their thumb and finger, gently feel the whole length..I have a cat that chews electric cords, I put Adams flea spray on the cords to stop it. Even a little jolt of electricity can harm/kill a cat.
Wow, how sad is that. Wish I had an answer but I really don't. Is it possible that they somehow got stuck behind something, that caused there legs to get hurt? Sorry, I am not much help.
Hi,,, i would think that it was some kind of chemical the ingested or plant. roach boxes, rat poison. they had to get into something.. sound also like Antifreeze.. they got into something or someone slipped them something. one or the other..

keep looking..and good luck
Strange. it could have been a diseased cat picked up off the black market or something!
Hi Does your boss smoke Kittens will chew anything and cigarette butts are fun for small kittens. The symptoms sound like Nicotine poisoning and the buts of smokes are high concentration of nicotine The older cat is not interested in the ashtrays and the kittens were probably teething
So sorry to hear of there fate.
I would have you boss have a necropsy done, to see what the cause was, especially if wants pets in the future.
Please have your boss get a autopsy on the cats, they will find out what happened to them.
I would tell him to check the electric cords in his house for bite marks as they might have bit one and got shocked and died from it.
But also the possiblity that they may have had a disease that was undiagnosed that caused their untimely passing. Also, a heart attack could have happened in a young kitten.
But I would get the kittens to the vet for an autopsy as this is a mystery on how they passed away so suddenly.
It sounds like to me that they may have got hold of some chemical in the house or they could have got ahold of a cord that was worn out etc. my kitten one time chewed the cord of typewriter and got a shock but she is okay. But I got the shock too. well hope he finds out what going on. i pray for him
DO THEY DRINK FROM THE TOILET.
MY CAT GOT SICK FROM THAT
THE TOILET BOWL CLEANER AND OF COURSE BACTERIA
Do you have a Swiffer Wet-Jet?? If so, you should check the contents/ingredients list. I'll show you the e-mail that I got later!!
Where did your boss get them? if they got them off the street them they could have been poisoned. That happend to my dog.
ask your boss if his house was treated by the pest control company..this can be deadly to kittens
sounds like a poison has he been using organo phosphate weedkiller nearby otherwise look for a more sinister reason almost certainly a poison have the corpses checked by a vet to establish for certain in the meantime dont bring any other cats into that enviroment.
