Want signs would tell that my cat has been poisoned?

can anyone tell me signs that may suggest that my cat has been posioned?
Answers:
There must be a reason you think this may have happened?

Cats can get into things toxic.. like toads, frogs, plants, etc.. they will eat stuff that can kill th em..

Also many things people leave laying around or put in the yard on plants is toxic. drinking Anti freeze which tastes sweet to them is toxic. spoiled meat etc.

So what I would tell you
Is if your cat is acting oddly and has access to the outdoors then you should take him the the VET jut to be sure.

If he does not have outdoor access and you think he seems ok now and have nothing he could have gotten into. I would watch him. and if he is still acting oddly after 24 hours take him in.. hemay just be sick

Good Luck

Wismom
it lays there and doesnt move
if your cat is throwing up
if your is more inactive than normal
if your cat tells you its posioned
if you think it has or if it is acting a little weird and you have a suspicion that it has GO TO THE VET NOW. poisoning is an awful way to go. get the kitty to the vet please right away. better to feel foolish and have a healthy cat than to have a dead cat.
Odd behaviour, roof of its mouth is not pink put pale (depression), obvious throwing up, twitches.
What kinda poison? Like he ate something or got bit by a snake? Take him to the vet to get him checked out!
Ugh, my dog was poisoned by my neighbor once but thankfully he didn't die!

These are some signs.

-It will walk kind of weird.
-It will not eat or drink at all, even if you shove food right in it's face.
-Vomiting
-Sleeping all the time
-You can tell that it wants to do it's usual activities like go for a walk but it just can't
Huge range of symptoms depending on the type of poison , amount ingested or absorbed, cats' body mass. They can include drooling, pawing at the mouth, abdominal pain, on the skin: crying, rolling, licking.Drunken behavior is classic with antifreeze poisoning, it actually improves, then worsens into seizures %26 death. Antifreeze is sweet tasting to animals %26 a common poisoning agent. Also signs of other types of poisoning can include changes in thirst, appetite, urination/defecation, breathing, activity level %26 responsiveness, coordination impairment, tremors, shivers, chewing fits, personality changes, the list goes on. If you even slightly suspect poisoning, get her to a Vet immediatllty, this is an EMERGENCY, not the time to take a wait %26 see approach. Not meaning to freak you out, but you are right to be concerned %26 she needs to be evaluated by a Vet.Some poisons can take days to kill, so the sooner the better.
they usually have a lot of dribble, purring, meowing, lathargic, and limp when picking them up. try and offer fluids on a spoon or syringe and get the cat to a vet asap to make sure.hope cat is ok :) x
You need to have your cat checked by a Vet if you think there is a possibility of poisioning. Also if the cat is growling when you pick him up maybe he has a sore spot and you just happen to be hiting the one spot. But again a say if you suspect poisioning tank the cat to the Vet. right away.
You really want to get your cat to a vet like, now. If it's not been poisoned then there's something else going on there. My cat was just really ill %26 I took him to the vet %26 it wasn't anything terrible %26 only cost me $50 %26 is on the mend now. Do it for your own piece of mind.
