Answers:
a dog is great for companionship, protection, loyalty, family pet, an animal you can interact with, but they also require a lot more work. cats are much easier, while they still make fairly good pets, they tend to wander, and they need to be kept in at night to prevent them hunting wildlife. they require very little effort and you can still go away for a weekend here or there and get a neighbour to feed it. its a personal choice and it depends on your lifestyle. personally, i would get a dog.
Pigs!
cats.dogs are hard to breed.and they pass out their waste often.
I couldn't choose between the two -I love both. You can get one of each then that way you wouldn't have to choose!
Cats!! because they are so much easier to take care of than dogs. But if you have your heart is set on a dog then by all means get a dog. Sounds like you live in a good place to have one. If you decide to get a pet, please consider your local animal shelter,so many pets need good loving homes. Enjoy!
Both are better than humans
ok.Dogs. They dont scrach as much and are lovers..Buy a dog cats get in the way. Dont get me wrounge i love cats but i liek dogs more
Dogs are totally better! Sounds like your house is fine for a dog. Good luck!
uh honey i would chose a dong they are loyal and kind, get them while they are young u will need to potty train them
dogs have way better personalities. But if you have a busy lifes cats are more independent
Both cats and dogs can make wonderful pets. It just depends on the amount of responsibility that you want to have and what you are looking for as far as a pet is concerned.

If you are looking for constant attention and someone to greet you at the door, get a dog.

If you would rather have a companion that can curl up in your lap and purr you to sleep, get a cat.

If you work long hours, get a cat.

If you're looking for someone to give you a heads up that someone is at the door, get a dog.

You get my point.

Good luck with whatever you decide to get!
Get a dog. You will have one very lucky dog with a house and large enough back yard for it to run and play. And best of all you like dogs! I've had both and I love both. What one doesn't have to offer us humans the other does.
dog it is then
woof
if you have a medium sized back yard, i really wouldn't get a very large sized dog anyway, because he may not have enough space to roam around. also, it doesn't depend on which is better, it depends on whether or not you want an affectionate, mostly quiet pet like a cat, or an energetic, wild pet like a dog that likes to exercise. pick the one the best suits your personality, and think about the space in your home, so your pet won't be cramped.

also think about shedding- both animals shed frequently, but it depends on their breed of how badly they shed. also think about how much bathroom care it will need, and which you one you won't mind doing- the litter box for a cat or the great outdoors for a dog.
Well, that's up to you, isn't it? If you like dogs, get a dog. If you like cats, get a cat.

Here's some things to think about tho:
Cats are generally lower maintenance. They can take care of themselves for the most part. Dogs need to be walked at least 2 or 3 times a day if not more. Of course, if you have a big back yard you could just let a dog run out there. Dogs are also more needy, but they give back more affection in return.

I'm lucky. I have a cat who thinks it's a dog! It takes care of itself like a cat, but it's very playful and loving like a dog. If you can find a cat like that, it may be a happy compromise.
Good luck!
cats are better cause they poop in a litter box and not on the floor and they clean there selves and they are easy to train.
CATS!!.
Well I can't make a desision for you, but I love them both! Here are some tips you may want to know: Most cats are already trained to go to the bathroom in an a litter box;You will most likley need to train a dog to go on mat or outside. You can't teach a cat tricks ( At least I think you can't! ); Dogs will be more loyal. They both might shed and will need to be groomed, get their claws clipped, and be given a bath. Hoped I was of in any help!
cats r better but it depends on which animal u prefer. if u cant choose then get one of each
cats because they r more cutter and loving not hiper
