hello not everyone is rich
you can help a animal if its a little problem
no need to run to the vet
Answers:
If you can ask your cat what is wrong and get an answer then you would be right.
some people love their animals so much that they want to make sure that everything is ok with them.then there are people like you who don't really care that much and would rather save some money than save their pet's life
well owning a pet is a responsibilty.if you had a baby and it was sick you would have no choice but to take it to the doctor.now if it was a minor issue then i would wait to see if the problem fixes itself, however, sometimes minor issues can turn major and unfortunately we have to go on cats behaviors because they cant tell us what is bothering them
If you can't afford vet care, you shouldn't have animals. Period.
okaaay..I think the general idea is that if you want the joy of having a pet (or a child for that matter) you need to also deal with the RESPONSIBILITY of taking care of it. If you can't afford to take care of it, then you are not ready for the responsibility. * and no,not everything warrants a trip to the doctor, but most people believe "better safe, than sorry".
Then everyone should not have a pet!! What situations have you seen here where the person should not have seen a vet??
The problem is that a lot of people will let an animal go for quite a while with a condition that they themselves would not wait around with simply due to money!!
If you don't have the money, don't get a pet!

And some of these "little problems" are actually BIG problems..if you were a vet or had a clue, you may know that!!
depends on the problem, do you ever go to a doctor
yes you are so right ,it does cost a lot in some areas to take your pet to the vet.But if your vet is truly concerned about the health and welfare of your pet, they will only do things that are absolutely necessary.therefore the cost should not be at a extreme amount..As for should the pet be taken to the vet well if you have tried different things and the pet has become worse ,yes get it to the vet right away that is if you truly love your pet and don`t want it to suffer. You wouldn`t want any of your family members laying and suffering, why should it be any different with your pet
There are many home remedies for your pets. I have saved a bundle of money by using them. I take them to the vet for their shots and annual check up. I also take them when it is something I can not take care of myself. When my dog was bitten in two places by a pit bull, I took him to the vet for two operations but I saved hundreds of dollars by having him recuperate at home instead of the vets. I had to clean out his wounds twice a day and bandage them. He had to be isolated in the house while I did this. It took over 30 days for the wounds to heal up. When I took him back to the vet for him to check him over the vet told me that he could not have done a better job.

Some people would rather spend the money to have a professional do this.
well, we can't dianose things here, your vet can. sometimes all it takes is a phone call to them which costs nothing. sometimes the problem is something that the animal does need to be seen and the vet can make that determination. but if you don't take an animal to the vet who needs medical attention that is animal cruelty.
If you can't afford to take your pet to the vet when it has a problem, you can't afford to have a pet. You are right, not every problem needs a vet, just like every problem you have doesn't sent you running to the doctor, but you don't always know which are the serious problems and which are the ones you can deal with at home. Remember, a phone call to your vet is always free (or should be, if it isn't, get a new vet) and they can let you know if it's something that can wait or something that really should be looked at by a vet. There are low cost clinics for routine treatments like neutering, vaccines and heartworm testing, and there are organizations to help those with low income or disabilites afford veterinary care during emergencies. The reason "Take your pet to the vet" or "Call your vet" are the most common responses is that it really is the best for your pet.
You take an animal to the vet because they can't communicate with you to tell you what is wrong.

I may be alone here but it seems like LIFE is more important than money.
