Sorry, I went through the same thing trying to do a favor but he was fixed. If you don't have him for more than a few days you can borrow a kennel and put a litter pan and food and water in with him or designated an easily cleaned room like a bathroom and keep him there. If you've got him for a while, I really don't know. I had to turn my friends indoor cat into a barn cat, because she couldn't have him in her apartment and wasn't moving for another few months. Good luck.
Most vet offices carry an excellent odor and stain remover "The Equalizer" works awesomely and smells good not too expensive either
I know many people who swear by a formula called "Nature's Miracle" which eliminates pet odors. You can find it in most pet stores, and theres a specific formula for cats. Good luck!
the stuff at wal mart works if it's the protein eating enzyme solution and it doesn't stain and has pleasant fragrance. if it's your house-i would throw the cat outside!
Urine Gone works well and it comes with an ultraviolet light to find hidden urine. Try to confine the cats to one room, you really can't stop him from spraying.
get some nature's miracle. it's in a white bottle with red letters and can be found in just about any pet store, get the kind that is for cats. it has enzymes that will eat away at the urine to get rid of it.
There is absolutely no reason for a cat to not be fixed. If an owner cannot see the benefits for neutering a cat, then they are irresponsible and probably shouldn't be owning a cat in the first place .
The key to getting rid of the strong smell of cat urine is to completely get rid of the smell from the cat's perspective. A cat's nose is much more sensitive than the human nose. When we think we have cleaned the cat urine and removed the smell completely, the cat may still smell where he/she urinated. This is a problem since cats like to urinate where they have urinated before.

Don't just use any household product to get rid of the smell. There are many products available from pet stores that can get rid of the smell completely. The best products contain enzymes and they will neutralize the smell. Getting the urine and smell off the floor is easy enough, but off the carpet requires a gentle technique. Don't scrub the carpet as you will push the urine deeper into the carpet fibres. Blot it gently, and follow the strict directions on the bottle.

A good tip is NOT to use ammonia or ammonia based products to clean up cat urine since ammonia smells similar to cat urine, so you will be defeating the purpose.
ONE PART BLEACH TO 5 PART WATER IN SPRAY BOTTLE AND SPRAY IT WHERE HE MARKS AND TELL YOUR FRIEND THAT HE/SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE CAT UNLESS SHE GETTING HIM FIXED BECAUSE IT CAUSE AGGRESSION IN THE MALE CATS AND FEMALES WHEN THER NOT FIXED
