Suggest a great name for our new cat!?

He's a very loving, raggedy stray rescued from our back alley.
He's a longhaired cream and orange tabby with light green eyes.
Thanks for the suggestions!

How 'bout "Pumpkin"
KC, short for kitty cat.
First thought is Alley. What do you think?
How about Lucky since he was a stray that now has a good home.
Alexander
Alley :)

Edit: AWWW ! David typed it b/f I could !! :'( :( Well now I don't wanna know what you're gonna be naming him just cuz he typed it out first. :(
So it's a he? That helps. A good name might be just Alle. Pronounced AL.
Scraggles!

One of the finest cats I ever knew looked just like that and his name was Scraggles. It fit him perfectly. Sometimes he was called "Scrags" for short.

He wasn't my cat but he was my friend and he visited me every day. I loved him dearly and I will always miss him.
rocky or popeye
dog
call him raggedy or ally cat
Nacho or puppy. the way you describbed him he sounds a lot like my cat. i found him almost dead in my neighbors yard. i named him regis and called him reegie some times. but usually i called him nacho, buddy, puppy, or fuz nuts. Ki-ki is a good name too. or pick your favorite celebrity and name him that. but the full name like "rod stewart" not just rod. maybe even osama or sadam. munchie or Punyeta are good names too.
RumbleTiger. after the famous cat from the play "Cats"..
Cream and orange..reminds me of Sherbert ice cream. "Sherbert" works for me! Or then again, "Peachy" for peaches and cream.Take good care of her. I have had my own raggedy stray for 10 years. She really is my best friend.
Vasya
flee bag
Swirl
Sherbet
Yummers
Mr Bojangles You can call him Bo
Creamsicle
Alice,,Ruby in the rough! Macy, Sam
Julius (as in Orange Julius, or Julius Cesar the Great Emperor - strong names are good for stray cats)
Punt
aly or scruffy
Fritz, Raggs, Punkin, Max (as in Mad Max), Archimedes, Hobbes, Tugger. Personally, I like Raggs or Hobbes.

Then there's Freddy (the Freeloader, for those who remember back that far) or Charlie (as in Chaplin, the "little hobo.")
i was thinking some play on the word pumpkin, which i think someone already will have suggested by the time i'm done typing. "jack" (jack o lantern)

other orange things would be fun too..

clementine (the little oranges), beeball (as in b-ball, basket ball), tang (the orange drink), habanero (the orange hot peppers)

something like that thats tied into his color, or behavior, but isnt as obvious as "garfield" or something.

added- you could call him "al" or "spawn" after the spawn comic book. the character was named Al Simmons, and he became "spawn". he lived in an alley, and even though he was mangey and got into trouble, all he wanted was his family, and to keep them safe.
You need a name that rolls off your tounge.
